I absolutely have no idea why I can't utilize the easy listing tool anymore!!!
I was told I would have to open a new account to utilize it. They said it was no longer available for veteran seller accounts!! WHY????
Guess I will no longer be selling on Ebay....
Just curious if anyone knows the reason behind this change.

No doubt listing on eBay is labor intensive. Try the new tool. It will not take that long to get the hang of it.

@theresav123 I wasn't aware of that change but I'm glad they did that if it's true. Too many threads about eBay turning on the unsolicited Best Offer on items created with the Quick Listing tool.

It now requires that one make up different shipping policies, etc. Way too time consuming for a small time occasional seller like me.
Guess I am no longer going to be using Ebay. I will switch over to Mercari, Offer Up, Etsy and Poshmark.

If you are selling across MANY categories, with many one offs, yes, time is going to eat you alive.
Anyone who sells much here should be taking advantage of the tools at your disposal. Sell similar, is a good tool for selling like items. It also helps to group your like items to list, all at the same time.
If you sell clothing, good luck. That is one HORRIBLE category with MANY item specifics, that is hard to make work unless you are selling many nearly identical items.
Listing is a production process. You either "get it" and have a process, or you don't and you waste all your time. You have to learn how to be productive with whatever time you have allotted to work on eBay. I list nearly every day. You need to focus on what is eating your time and work at being able to do it faster. Find new ways to get the listings done that shaves time.

Tried and found it way too aggravating. I called help line and was told I would need to open a new account to be able to utilize the quick listing tool again. Just curious the reason behind it. It must benefit their bottom line in some way. Perhaps data mining like Amazon.🤔

I hear ya.
BTW, The shipping policies are the bomb for the very active seller. They have been a business saver for me with all the USPS shipping debacles.

@theresav123 I've helped a number of Sellers switch from the Quick Listing Tool to the Business Tool (used to be called the Advanced Listing Tool). One benefit is the Item Specific section which is a help in search engines finding your items and returning them in Search results. For online selling THAT is key in having your items found and ultimately purchased by someone.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with exploring other opportunities if eBay does not fit your business model ... or the amount of time you want to invest in selling your items ...

I sell clothing and vintage collectibles. Basically every item I sell is unique so the new Listing tool just doesn't work for me!

I'm not sure of the exact number but there are like 25 million ebay sellers out there. They are somehow making it work.

I've always used the advanced listing tool and sell everything from A to Z. I've never been required to set up shipping policies. I just list the shipping info on each individual listing.

@theresav123 I completely understand ... the one off collectibles take as much time with the Business tool as do a group of similar items and me creating a Template. The Template then saves time for each additional item in that category.
Nobody here really sells much clothing so I have no clue if Templates would help in those categories ... I sell a lot of train cars in different gauges so I have numerous Templates that rough out the basics and can also include shipping method, package size and weight.

Collectables can be listed faster by searching for them in search or sold listings, and click the button "have one to sell?". It prefills whatever specifics that listing has, into yours.
You could use the same tool for clothing, but vintage clothing, you may not find listings like yours.
This is the only way I know of to list faster, the type of items you sell.
