Has this ever happened to anyone else? I sent two packages USPS to the same customer. First the tracking stated they were Out for Delivery. Then they were Held at Post Office, available for pickup. Next it stated Reminder to Schedule Redelivery. And now it is saying Package Return Notice Generated, The Item Will Be Returned To You (for both packages).
I contacted my customer and she said she is not returning anything, she has the items. Should I just ignore the tracking info? I can't send her any feedback because it looks like the items were not delivered yet. Will USPS eventually fix this? Will this reflect badly on my sales profile from eBay's point of view? Does anyone know?
Thanks.

@jz-5682 It sounds like there was an error on the scanning for delivery of your packages, things like this do occur. It doesn't matter anymore. Buyer has acknowledged receipt and seems happy. Your account will not be affected in any way if the tracking shows they were returned to you. Items were shipped and not returned by buyer. Just ignore the tracking and you'll be fine.

All ebay cares about is that the item is in the hands of the carrier service. Other than that; ignore tracking.
I have no idea why you say you can't leave feedback; feedback can be left the second a buyer buys and has nothing to do with shipping.

Buyer has the items and have already told you so. I would not worry about it. Good luck on your selling journey.

Oh, you are correct about the feedback. I don't know why I thought I couldn't leave it! Thanks.

Hard to say what is happening. Fingers crossed that a mystery box doesn't arrive back to you in a week.
You can leave feedback as soon as a customer pays. I leave my customer feedback as I pack the item for the mail.

Given the option of having the message you have vs. what I have on one of my shipments, I'd choose yours any day!
Either way, whether the buyer receives your package or if she never picked it up, "ready for pickup" counts as delivery as far as ebay and seller protection are concerned.
I have an item that was out for delivery on December 4, tracking never updated and until a couple of days ago, I hadn't heard anything from the buyer. (I don't contact buyers in these situations because for not-so-honest buyers who know the ropes, seeing that there's no delivery scan can give them the idea to file INR and they WILL win!)
Although I didn't hear from my buyer, I received positive feedback for the "beautiful item" so I do know it arrived but I'll have a non-delivery ding on my dashboard. Whether I'll call on it or not, I haven't decided. It's the only one this year so it's not a big deal but if there were many of these cases, it would be a PITA.

Hello,
This just happened to me for a door-delivery parcel France to USA with tracking stating first that the parcel was ready to pick up in a post office, then the buyer wrote it was delivered a day before to her front door and seems happy, then I've noticed few days later the tracking was still "alive" and updating, stating "reminder for redelivery" then "package return notice generated". Thanks to your post I expect it to be a tracking mistake....we'll see 🙂
Best.
