Listing creation and editing has become difficult

Is anyone else having a problem with listing creation and editing, entries deleted and having to retype things?  This just started a few days ago and it happens when I am entering description information, just zaps what I put in and jumps to the top of the screen.  Also if I try to change the Buy It Now price it does the same thing.  I have rebooted the PC, nothing in my system has changed, same keyboard and mouse, batteries are recent... it is VERY annoying!

I listed a lot over the last several days. No problems at all but I have seen many recent posts similar to yours.

You probably already know to write the description to a document on your computer and then cut and paste into the listing. That way you have a copy.

I have been using the same listing template within the listing tool for years. Seems to work very well having a lot of information already completed when I start a listing.

Yes, there are known technical problems, we assume after the last code release.

Field resets, draft edits, HTML editor issues, etc. Many users are reporting inconsistent behaviors.

There is a thread under Community Issues > Tecnical Issues that captures a bunch of them, but maybe not your exact issue. The latest workflows for listing creation/edits all seem to leverage 'drafts' and so may be at the root of the problem. (e.g. every new listing, every 'sell one like this' immediately creates a draft that is saved as an effort to save your work, etc.)

This has been going on since I first was forced to use the new listing tool last year. I will type something in one of the fields, tab to the next, and sometimes it will simply disappear or revert to the previous field value. Nothing new, but certainly a time waster and error creator. Thanks again ebay. My new problem today is editing html. When I type it in, the listing page reloads and removes any editing of the tags. I hope ebay gets bought by a company that is interested in running a good marketplace with tight coding. Because there is little hope for the current leadership.

I use "sell one like this" so that I get a lot of entries already filled in since most of my items are actually like another one.  I did find that after having "List it" send me to the top of the page repeatedly that if I save for later then immediately go to "resume draft" I can get it to list. Maybe someday they'll think it is worth fixing.

I created a template some time ago, but my items are not similar enough for it to be very helpful.  But, based on your comment I went back to it, edited part and it will not save. so it is totally useless.  I fought a listing for half an hour with part of my description being posted without part of it I bolded, the last thing I did.  It took several tries to get it to post, then it was wrong.  I went back and a dozen tries later I was able to finally get it to save my correction.

I have been selling here for 20 years and I believe I am at the end of wasting my time with eBay, getting harder to deal with every day.  There has to be a competent alternative.
