I was hoping someone could kindly give me some advice on how to get your items seen. I have tried everything to get more views. I read something about the first 4 words in your listing title are the most important. Is that true? Then I thought I had it all figured out - Auctions - that's the ticket! Nope still no Views - so I promoted a few of my listings to see if that would raise the views & nothing - I have tried using "Costume Jewelry" & I always start with Vintage Signed -I'm thinking Lots that's probably the best chance of being seen? I would really appreciate any helpful positive input, advice or secret! Thank you, Shelley,

I thought I already replied to you but now I can't find it and my question was important. So, sorry if I sent this twice! If I change my listings to fixed price and immediate payment, then I have to remove or BEST OFFER, right? Now if I remove BEST OFFER will it no longer let me send offers to people once the add an item to their watch list? And thank you for your advice smart smart smart !

An example of what? @coolections explained about eliminating the duplicated words. Then just use your extra spaces for other keywords.

That is my signature line. Many of us have signature lines that tell a little about ourselves or are a quote or something like that. Mine is a quote from the funniest movie of all time - This is Spinal Tap.
SEO is Search Engine Optimization & if you don't know what that is, I highly recommend you do some google search to get an understanding. It's much too complex to explain in a few sentences, but basically is what is responsible for the order that search results are shown to someone. I think it's the MOST important thing to selling on eBay.

The picture in search results is most important, all other things being equal. Keywords will get your listing in more search results. So, what are you customers looking for? If you were looking for what you sell, what would you type into a search box?
Your title doesn't necessarily need to clearly indicate what the item is. The picture is on the far left, and that is what buyers look at! The words just help your listing appear in search results. You need both. Large pictures--optional in the selling template--make your item look better than the ones with smaller pictures, and the more paid add-ons you select in your selling template, the higher you'll go in search results!
The add-ons are flat rate, so you're item must sell for more than that to make it financially feasible to use them. I get add-ons for most listings. Then there's promotions, at the bottom of the selling (listing) template. Those get more sales by advertising your listings in similar listings made by other sellers. Those are a percentage of the selling price. You don't pay unless it sells! So, anyone can use those and it still makes sense financially.
Inexpensive items may not be promotable. There is limited ad space, and it will be used for items that make eBay the most money. If you don't see it, it's not available for your listing.
So, it's really matter which picture is first. That one shows in search results. Buyers just want to find what they want. They're looking for low price too. But if a buyer sees something (s)he wants, she'll click based on the picture.
My best selling listings do not just spell out what the item is. The titles are a series of keywords, from which buyers can figure out what the item is, bit it isn't directly written like that.
For instance, if a seller has a woman's dress to list. It's above the knee, orange, pleated, low cut with a few buttons, with straps, and a wide hem on the bottom. That would work like this: <Designer name or retail store> <size> "Orange, Straps, Low Cut, Buttons, Pleated, Above Knee, Wide Hem, Summer Dress!"
Subjective adjectives should be included in the picture and description. Beautiful, lovely, attractive, fashionable, nice fitting, slimming, youthful, perky, modern, traditional, hip, sensuous, pretty, sharp, muted, modest, attention grabbing, liberating, airy, flowing, pert, casual, formal.
In the description, pretend you're out shopping with a friend, and (s)he is trying on something, or looking at an item to purchase, and you know everything about that item! So, you tell your friend all the great things about your item, but from a stand point that the seller is someone else, like you and the buyer are friends.
Have faith in your product and your description. Don't repeat anything. Let the words do their job. And make sure the description is grammatically perfect. It creates a great impression of competence and trustworthyness. EBay is the same as anywhere else you make money in that you earn according to the amount of work you do!
There are no shortcuts. Those who think they've found one finish last!

I need to remove the best offer function if I am going to use the fixed price & immediate payment function, right?
No.
But you should be aware that accepting a Best Offer ends the IPR.
Reason being that the customer may not be around when you accept the Offer and therefore cannot immediately pay.
Because most people are honest and most Offers are serious, I don't regard this as a big deal.
If the customer had been nickel and dimeing or trash talking, that comes into play, but those are also the Offers you don't respond too more than once.
Also you can set parameters on Best Offers as Acceptable, which are accepted automatically (eg on a $100 item you would accept a $90 Offer. When the customer makes a $95 Offer, it is automatically accepted. And yes, at the higher than acceptable price.) or which are rejected automatically but also politely.
The two prices can be a penny apart.
And you don't see the dickering. Only the purchase. EBay also will invoice the buyer immediately so you may be paid just as fast.

The very very dumb rock star Nigel Tufnel is explaining to the "documentary maker" that most loudspeakers can be set to a level from "1" to "10". But that his special favourites go up to "eleven". He cannot comprehend that one to ten are arbitrary and not necessarily related to decibel level.
The movie was one of the first mockumentaries and led to a series of hilarious others from Christopher Guest, Rob Reiner, et al.

With clothing, particularly women's clothing, the manufacturer's size should be in the Title and the Item Specifics , but actual measurements of the actual garment in the Description.
Because women's clothing has no standardized sizing, even within a brand.
Today I am wearing an Eileen Fisher dress size 18. Yesterday I wore an off-brand Chinese made tunic in Size 5XL.

other then what has been said - use promoted listings standard - without it, it's like trying to find a needle in the miles of frozen ice in Antarctica

I'll have to say I have stumbled upon this by simply searching " how do I get my items listed on ebay seen more" and it took me to this. This has been so helpful to me. I hate to ask but want to ask lol if you guys can give my ebay store a revision. I would greatly appreciate it. I sell sports card and my biggest issue was not knowing the standard envelope had dimension requirements and it was sending everything by because of my envelopes being to big and not enough postage and Ive been working on getting my sellers performance up so I can get a Listing Increase. If you guys could be just brutal with me I would appreciate it, I don't get offended easily and I want raw uncut advice if you guys have the time. So many great ebay experts on here. Bravo Bravo
Ive only made 130 sales and im still working on the look of my page and its categories. Im new but I can see where I can make some real money selling in my particular niche
Heres my URL

I don't sell trading cards and don't know that niche but just looking at your site it feels a little bit cluttered? But I think the main issue with your listings is you don't say what the item is you just list the subsequent information but I don't see anywhere where it says "trading card" in the title. Could that be why the algorithm isn't pulling it up?

LOL, the first 4 words should be "Free stuff Free Shiping"
