Listing Issues

What is going on with listings? I created a new listing but it doesn't show up when I search by item number to add to promotion? Also doesn't show up in my active listings either when I search by name or item number. I listed it last night and still not showing up today.

You would have to tell us what the item is. I checked and see over 60 items you listed last night.

There can be a slight delay after publishing a new listing before it will show in your lists, and a slightly longer delay before it shows up in the Marketing Tools to add to discounts, promos, etc.

However, that slight delay is minutes, not hours or overnight.

Perhaps you clicked 'Save for Later' and not 'List It'?  If so, you'd find it in your Drafts. https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/drafts

Active listings in seller hub or active listings in public-facing search view @ticketgreat?

If search view then it hasn't indexed yet.

If seller hub, then the follow up question is do you see it there when listings are sorted by date and it's only the search function that's giving you problems?

I relisted it again today and same problem. It's not showing up anywhere, ebay search, promotions, active listings, etc. I can find it by scrolling through my listings but wouldn't pull up by name or item number.

It's not the delay and yes it's actually listed. I relisted it again today and same problem. It's not showing up anywhere, ebay search, promotions, active listings, etc. I can find it by scrolling through my listings but wouldn't pull up by name or item number.

Every time you revise a listing, it goes back into the indexing queue. If you stop revising, it's more likely to show up.

You've revised it twice today.............every time you revise, it goes back to being checked again before it's put in search.  Leave it alone for a while......

It takes up to 24 hours for a listing to index and as said above, each time you revise the listing it resets the clock. Leave it be @ticketgreat.

If you are "relisting" it a couple of times, there is a problem.  The system would have stopped you of posting it the second time as a duplicate listing.  It just would not allow you to do it if you had it already posted.

You may need to contact Ebay to see if there is something going on with this specific listing.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

This isn't completely accurate.  If you have an existing listing and you revise it, while it does have to update / reindex with the new improved information, the listing does not disappear.  It remains active and visible.  I revise pricing or quantity all the time.
