Hello, I read a few weeks back a post about someone getting charged listing fees when their limit had not been reached. I have a basic store subscription and it is the beginning of the month and listing availibility was reset. I just wanted to edit an item that was already listed but ebay is going to charge me 20 cents to edit. Nothing changed except the description and price.
Would someone direct me to the thread or who I should contact about this.

@babja I have not seen any fees charged for revisions, be it a price change up or down or verbiage in the description, etc. I can tell you though that the first time I see one of those bogus charges I will be on the phone to eBay getting it dropped and stopped ...

Lincoln, I will get on the horn with ebay tomorrow. I hate calling CS for any reason.

I don't know if this might be related or not, but since you mentioned you revised the price:
There's no fee to revise a listing unless you add a special feature or raise your asking price.

@packratville. I lowered the price on the item. I also went back and edited only the shipping weight and the fee showed up after the shipping weight was saved. I can only assume that the maintenance performed yesterday has messed something up. I'm going to go ahead and edit that listing to see if the fee falls off when I confirm the changes.
Thanks
Beth

I hope it's straightened out for you now. Apparentlly there were more people experiencing the same glitch. Good luck!
Kind regards,
Kathy

It happened to me last month. I don't have a store, but I had 11 of my free listings of 50 per month left, and all of a sudden, I was charged a 30-cent fee to list something. I had used 2 promos earlier in the month, so I did have some of my regular free listings left.
I immediately called eBay, and the call kept getting "escalated," and finally I was told there was a "glitch" in the system and that lots of people were calling. The CSR told me to list anyway, and she would call me the next day and credit me. I waited a couple hours, and it was fixed. And, the CSR did call me the next day and credit me the 30 cents for the once listing.
Call eBay.
