I woke this morning to see that my listing that I posted yesterday was taken down as a counterfeit. I was surprised to see this as I provided all the ways you could verify that the product I was selling was genuine in the listing. I was wondering if there is anyway to go about an appeal, and where I would contact eBay if I can appeal. I have attached images of the message below. Any help would be appreciated thanks. I received about eBay taking my listing down.

What do you mean by "... I provided all the ways you could verify that the product I was selling was genuine in the listing."?

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

You're selling a lot of name brand items that are known to be counterfeit or replicas. Don't be surprised if eBay questions some of your other items for sale. You are also somewhat of a new seller. Don't jeopardize your account by relisting these items. If eBay states they're counterfeit...don't relist it. These days counterfeits are made so well even the authenticators cannot tell the difference. Don't take it personal.
Happy Selling.

Thank you for your reply 🙂 however I am an expert and collector when It comes to jerseys so I know how to verify legitimacy especially on newer shirts as they have product codes on them that aren't able to replicated by counterfeiters. I know for a fact the item I listed is legitimate and am wondering if there is anyway to go about an appeal or how to contact eBay to find a resolution. I am not taking it personally it's more of an annoyance because they took down a legitimate listing . Thank you again for your help 😃

thank you! and I meant that Included the jersey's product code which is a way to verify that it is an official nike/ adidas product apologies for my lack of clarity I posted this forum post in haste. I will attach an image of the product code too for you it's (DX2687-455)

I don't see what country it is made in?

Tags don't prove authenticity.
Your experience means nothing to eBay.
You have to be careful because now you are on eBays radar and a few more of these can get you a permanent vacation.

you wouldn't need the manufacturer country of the shirt to verify if it is legitimacy you need the product to verify the legitimacy which I provided in my listing but I will provide the photo of the country it was made in too to you if you want to see.

thank you for your comment but that isn't the case when it comes soccer kit's internal tags with product codes do prove authenticity. do you know if there anyway to appeal?
03-24-2024 09:14 PM
I will beg a differ.
If they can replicate an entire shirt, I can't see why they wouldn't be able to replicate the tag with code.
I wouldn't list the item. Even if you appeal, if it gets picked up again then you will most likely end up with a short vacation.

You'd be wrong Robbie no offense. I also purchased this item from a retail store so I know for a fact it is legitmate. And separate from those two factors I also know how to verify shirts without using the product codes. I am going to call eBay tomorrow to appeal will be sure to avoid these vacations you are talking about.

I have not seen the OP mention one thing about just relisting the item. S/he just wants to know if there is any kind of appeals process. You know, doing things wisely, on the up and up, not haphazard and foolish.

Sad reality is even if you win appeal and the item gets relisted, if it triggers again the ramifications are higher because they will consider their first attempt a warning that was ignored.
It's better just to not relist the item.
AI don't care you won an appeal.

It does not matter if you agree with Ebay or not. It doesn't matter if you are correct and Ebay is wrong. What matters is you need to prove to Ebay you are legitimately selling brand items. You can object all you want, it means absolutely nothing and will not win an appeal for you.
So gather your receipts and anything else you have that proves your items are authentic.
Good luck.
