I am a long time eBay seller and buyer, and when sellers wait to see if I've left them feedback before leaving feedback from my purchase it really makes me mad. Feedback as a seller means, the seller leaves feedback about the transaction, i.e., paid promptly, answered questions quickly, etc. The feedback should be left for the buyer as soon as the seller receives payment or at least as soon as the item is shipped.
Come on sellers, you can even set up automatic feedback's and you don't have to do a darn thing.

You are lucky -- at work, I get a "I've made my payment - where's my feedback" Message at least once a month on a good month. Or the slightly less irritating "Got the package, everthing's great. Left you great feedback, when will I get mine?" Those I see on a weekly basis, sometimes more than once!
I even had one buyer yell at me, with some rather creative name-calling, when I honestly and simply explained that eBay provided us a service to leave positive feedback once the buyer had left positive feedback. How dare I infringe on their RIGHT to receive immediate positive feedback as soon as their payment was accepted by eBay??? I think that was the first/only time in over two decades selling on eBay that I've added someone to my BBL before I even had a chance to ship anything. Also reported all that name-calling to eBay -- I know they don't do anything effective about it, but it makes me feel just a couple molecules better about the whole thing.
Yeah... stay around the site long enough and you'll be amazed at the human behavior you'll witness....

How do you know a seller didn't leave feedback if there's nothing showing on the buyer account that they made a purchase from the seller? Not leaving feedback to show you are not satisfied is a double negative and that means it's moot. Ineffective. Meaningless.
Now... if eBay were to show the total number of transactions the member has been involved in (and they do have that number), along with their positive/negative feedback, those feedback numbers might actually start to be useful again. A buyer with 200 transaction who's only collected 40 positive feedbacks, mostly thanking them for a quick payment, would make a savvy seller wonder why no one else was leaving feedback.

Frankly, it's amazing this is still being discussed in 2021. It like, our parents posted this same thing back in the day...

As a Buyer I leave Feed back When My item arrived As listed . If not I chose to not leave any feed back.
As a Seller when I sold on here ,I would leave feed back as soon as I receive it. Works for me!

Thank you for taking time and explaining this to us.
We appreciate that.

I think both buyers AND sellers should not leave feedback
until the other person leaves feedback first.

You need to wait until the item is delivered and at least 2-3 business days elapse. We've had cases opened up for false return reasons or lost shipments. In that case, we leave a lengthy 'positive' feedback detailing what happened. This will help other fellow sellers navigate these sketchy buyers
Not every buyer is cookie cutter and honest. Some are looking for a freebie if made available..

Always have ours set to leave +FB when received +FB
As said, feedback for a buyer is basically just count of how many transactions they have had, and so long as we don't get a red or grey dot, we are pretty happy with no FB at all.

it's correct

right

Yes bro. I think the same as you

I don't think do. feedback is optional not mandatory.

That is your opinion and I respect your freedom of choice.
As I stated getting a bogus SNAD case or a charge back claim up to 180 days after payment may be your idea of a positive selling experience but it is not mine.
