Sorry for this dumb question as I am learning as I go along. I just recently started selling stamps and I understand the importance of leaving a comment on how the sale went, BUT I didn't know I need to leave a comment for the buyer. I received this from a buyer "Plz leave me feedback. Done the same for you. Thanks"

Feedback goes both ways (although sellers are limited in the choices they can use for buyers), but it is voluntary. Many buyers do expect a seller to give them feedback, though, just as you have received feedback from sellers you purchased from.

You are not required to leave feedback but it is a good idea. If you thank customers for their sale hopefully they will come back again.

As a seller you can have your FB automated to be left either on payment or in return for FB left for you. The setting are in your Seller Preferences.

When you provide a comment about how the sale went, eBay calls this "Feedback".
In the seller hub, eBay provides a page listing all the transaction which do not have feedback, and provides an easy tool for leaving it:

Some buyers, many in fact, don't leave feedback. And some buyers will wait from feedback from sellers before leaving feedback. So best to leave feedback to encourage those buyers to leave feedback.
For sellers feedback is an important marketing tool. I leave feedback after shipping. If there is an issue, a very rare event, I deal with it later.

Feedback 'left for others' can work well for you. I always look at that when buying and I also look at it if I receive an offer when selling.
If they've left you good feedback, then IMHO, it would be good etiquette to reciprocate accordingly. It's not possible to leave negative feedback for a buyer anyway.

Interesting facts...the inexpensive items of buyers leave feedbacks more than expensive items for sale that buyers buy.
I leave feedback for an expensive sale after buyer leaves it...not before.
The cheap sales I leave feedback immediately to buyers.
You are in the same category as me...you will get buyers of cheap items who only want feedback and not the items for sale...LOL.
I get a lot of return envelopes where buyers give a fake address. It's an added bonus of a sale. I get the item back and buyer never ask for a refund of the cheap item. Buyers have to contact me if they did not receive the item. They never do.
Good luck.
