my sales average $300 a day. Just been like this for years. I've had an occasional one day with no sales. But 3 days straight? I've lost almost $1000 in sales, with no explanation whatsover. I can't survive at this pace, especially after how many bills I had to pay 1st of the month. This is absolutly the worse time for this to be happening. Is this isolated to me, or is anyone else experiencing this?

last 4 days...ZERO...$26....ZERO...$24... For the past 3-4 years I have regularly sold $100>$150+ per day on an average....all my listings are compliant...using guaranteed delivery on most all my items now...lowered prices...put all items on 10% off sale...baffled

after the 0, $26, 0 and then $24 sale on Friday, I sold a whopping $5 on Saturday...then Sunday, which is typically slow, I was back on again...check this out...I woke up to 3...yes THREE different sales to Australia?? what are the odds of that happening in one night? Sunday my best day in 2 weeks at sales of $170...then yesterday...5 sales for $400...and another sale today, wow...I did start a 15% off sale on Saturday evening so maybe that is what sparked the sales??...who knows...at least I can pay my ebay fees this month now...
a glimmer of hope...........

agree. in 24 mo slipped from 30K yr as a part time seller to 10K or under. at the end of october, from one week to the next sales dropped 81.9% out of the blue and have not come back. no violations, no complaints, feedback perfect. it's a big whatever at this point. putting up things that i have around the house and working with what i have on hand beyond that...who knows.

I’ve been spending way too much time trying to figure out what it is that I’m doing wrong. Seems like there are way too many people trying to fix a problem that is probably not the result of anything they've done wrong.
As a seller I have jumped through all of the hoops that eBay has requested. Well maybe not ALL of them. Some of the changes make sense and some are beyond absurd. I will never offer “guaranteed delivery.” Carriers don’t offer guarantees but I'm supposed to?
Now eBay is trying to do "price matching." They are also doing “group similar listings” which narrows down a 10,000 item search to 1,000. (None of which are my items or even resemble my items.)
UPC codes and product identifiers are required for most items now and I have even had trouble listing some vintage items. Is this just a glitch or not? What is it with all the Amazon tactics?
Buyers are having trouble with their shopping carts… It seems like glitches are site wide with no improvement or solutions.
I’ve never had a holiday season begin so badly on eBay. My sales are down, my watchers are down and my views (impressions) are down. Hope you can fix it EBAY!
Sigh… I just want to sell stuff and have a great Holiday season.

Your last line is so wistful, it touched me greatly. That is all sellers ask, to sell their items and have a great Holiday season, and that is what I wish all of you. There are a lot of glitches currently and I think they are hampering sales. For one, buyers can't buy if they can't get to their Watch List.

well, I'm back from the one week vacation I took. I can't actually mention anymore than that, because, forum rules....... This community is really going down the tubes tho. WOW.
So yeah, my sales have picked up again. But this month alone, I've had more ZERO sales days, than the rest of this entire year. Plus a few sales days that might as well have been zero sales. This is going to be a very tough month for me. Sales down 40%. Never happened to me before. Can't wait to hear more ebay cheerleaders blame this on me again lol.
I wish there was another better site, but seems like there just isn't.

I am gettng very depressed. About a year ago when I first started selling on eBay, I was full of hope and enthusiasm. Both me and my SO opened stores selling a bit of everything- from electronic components to rare and unique collectibles. We were making about 2-3 grand a month combined (I know that's not much, but not bad for beginner sellers). Now, in November we've made barely anything, and it just doesn't make any sense, because we're offering bigger variety than ever before. Both are top rated sellers with 100% feedback. Fixed all the listings to comply with security updates. Taking excellent pictures, describing any defects meticulously, etc, etc. Offering a great selection of Christmas gifts. And yet.. NOTHING. Sold a freaking mug yesterday, making $ 2 in profit, YAY. Must be eBay throttling and glitches... but then again, our Amazon bookstore isn't doing that great either (I should say doing TERRIBLY as well). Is the economy about to collapse? Or what is going on? I just want to curl up in a fetal position and CRY. Need money to pay rent and bills...

oh, boy...sorry to hear this, I don't think anyone has an understanding of why. You could try calling cs about your accounts and ask if they see anything that would cause this, try searcing for your items first , if you haven't done so yet, and let them know if you can't find them. Contact the ebay for business page on facebook about your sudden loss of sales. Let them know what you said here about your selling history, you certainly do know how to sell on ebay.
Good luck and may you find success wherever your online sales take you.

So this is not uncommon. My heart goes out to you and everyone who is experiencing low sales, but sales are cyclical in nature. While you have enjoyed very consistent sales in the past, and I am happy for you, that was bound to fluctuate at some point, which it has.
Try some things to increase your visibility, take listings off GTC or 30 days, lower some prices, revise titles and/or pictures. If you can list new items every day, it is said that that helps. The Ebay UA says that some items may not appear in search no matter what search is performed.
Wish I could wave a magic wand but I can't. I can only hope and pray that things get better foryou. Good Luck.
i am sure the OP's situation is a little different.
most sellers complaining about low sales don't (by far) do as well as the OP.
most do not offer a desirable product and/or are way overpriced.
there are NO secrets on ebay or any online venues.
offer a product people (priced right) want and you will be successful.
this is a few weeks old thread i am sure the OP will make up.
he seems to have a good business.
this was probably a no rhyme no reason, NO sales 3 days.

Sales are never a guarantee - not if you're selling cars, watches, insurance or books - you want a guaranteed income than you get a 9-5 job.
Hopefully things will catch up this weekend for you.
