I don't see a lot of ebay ads for specific items on other websites, but when I do they are almost always ads for my own items. Every other article I read on Cracked.com will have an ad for my own item at the bottom of the page.
Anyone else encounter this?

Once you 'look at an item' whether it be 'ebay' or 'google' or 'amazon' or any website; that item and items like it will now show on your email (off to the side- ads) and many other places.
Once you 'clear cookies' it will no longer show. But, know that clearing cookies means many sites you 'want' to keep your sign on etc. will disappear and you will have to 're-input' that sign-on/password etc.

I've seen that occasionally in the past. I got a kick out of at first, but finally realized that if the process is doing a "Best Match" for ad placement that ends up showing me my own listings, either I'm a unique seller or someone's coding is not quite up to par.

Makes sense, probably 98 percent of the listings I end up looking at on ebay are my own.

I ran into that one day when I was looking up some extra information about a listed item I had and the first item I found on google was my own eBay listing of the item.
