Traffic and sales were NON-existent today. The patterns here are just so odd anymore.
Is it just me or does everything here seem overly orchestrated? It just doesn't have the same operational feel as it did even 5 years ago. I can't put my finger on it but things just don't feel like they are operating like the "well oiled machine" it used to be.
Is it too much to wish things could just be straight forward?
I miss the good ol' days of ebay.

People spent a lot more time and money on your crap and my crap years ago.
Times change and so must what we sell and where we sell it.

Not much has changed for me in the last five years - I got 90% of my sales between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. PST then, and I do so now. Once in a while a sale will drop in in the afternoon or evening, but it is rare.

Yesterday was my worst day in months.
I know something was off... My children need to eat ebay! Please stop playing with my income! This isn't a game. It's my life!

That's a shame, considering just a few of the many vulnerabilities: eBay can terminate your account for no reason; eBay servers can crash and be out of business for several days or weeks; your account could be closed in the event of several BBEs (whether deserved or not); and -- what I suspect we will be contending with increasingly in the not too distant future -- our antagonists could attempt to install malware on the platform and / or shut it down with a denial of service attack or something similar. These days, it seems there is no limit to what can be done to "electronics."
The weather and the stock market fluctuate, as do consumer demands. Nothing unusual is happening to your account here.
And whatever is happening is happening across the platform, as has been discussed ad nauseam.

Things change. Market changes. Demand changes. Buyer age group and their interest changes.
Have to adapt or you will just be upset with poor performance.

Whatever the cause or reason. Sometimes we just need to vent our frustration with whatever it is. I don't blame any one thing. It's an amalgamation of causes I'm sure.
I will say though, it seems the more wrapped up in AI that companies get the more complicated our online business platforms are becoming. The "innocent" days of selling online are gone. Things are "driven" now. Performance is highly influenced and manipulated.
When I have days like I did yesterday I always have to wonder what was off. According to down detector ebay had some issues yesterday so that could be the problem. I hope today is better.

Adapt your inventory. It is that simple.

Yeah, it's not the inventory.

I'm actually starting to think that it must have something to do with an update they roll out around this time of year. Every time they update something problems arise. Sales always slow.

It's a shame you have to rely on income from here so much, Because income here is Very Unreliable!, The Worst it's ever been!, Good Luck to you!

Yep ebay is most likely messing with the website for the fall update. I have a few loss leader items listed on ebay that sell every day and when ebay starts messing with things, they wont sell for a few days. Yesterday and this morning are one of those days. No sales. It always comes back eventually.
