Just venting, may or may not be viewed as constructive

Three times in the last four weeks....

New message from:

It appears that I didn't read the entire description for this item or I would have realized that this was a 'jjjaghapj  rather than actual  jf;akfjafha'h.

Therefore I wish to return this item for a refund. I will pay the return postage.

Appreciate your agreement to this matter.

The first two times I just shrugged the return off as doing business.
But why doen't ebay make it manditory that people that buy things from
a phone do more than  " look at the purrty pichers ! ".

I find more phone users make errors 10x more than a pc user, even tho they
only make up 62 % of my buyers.
How can you blame a seller for returns when the doofus that makes the purchase doesn't even really know what he is buying .
There, rant over, carry on with your good work.
Where are my meds....

Was going to say the same thing! I went to look at your listings and I think oh another magazine seller. Then I thought how can he afford to charge such a low price for 22 issues with free shipping? Not all your listings have DVD in the title. I was thrown by the 2 disc set as I've never seen magazines sold that way. When I sold Popular Science - it was an actual magazine.

If your pictures looked like the following another seller uses - you wouldn't have as many problems. Yes a buyer should read the entire listing but a seller really has to really spell it our for buyers these days as we know they don't always read a listing.

Paypal reports give you that information.

Just curious, how is it you know that mobile purchasers only make up 62% of your sales?  I don't recall seeing something on my order details page that states how they made their purchase?  Is there such info available and I just don't know about it?

Your listings are misleading and confusing. I had to wade through a bunch of carp on the Scoops listing to see it’s a DVD.

Be thankful you didn't my useless piece......yada yada.

Three purchases...all separate. Files three separate returns items not as described...three different labels.

Not one of my usual customers.  You can imagine the words that came out of my mouth. Really wanted to tell her about my friends in Jamaica with the dolls and the pins.  She doesn"t need to know.

I used to get a monthly email from Pay Pal showing how many paid using mobile and other methods and it would also tell me how many were new buyers and how many return buyers.

I wish they still sent it out.

I don't know if you can find the information on Pay Pal now or not.

Have a great day.

Just curious, does anyone remember the eBay newsletter sent? Everyone is saying PayPal.
It was just a basic 41 % (example %) of your sales have come from mobile users.

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

Re: Just venting, may or may not be viewed as constructive

Buyer's are expecting too much out of small sellers. Sure, a big corp can afford returns for any reason, but a lot of small sellers cannot.

Amazon ruined buyers, in the same way that Walmart spoiled buyers with their lenient return policy and the whole 'customer is always right' policy that they used to have. But even stores like Walmart have become less accepting of allowing buyers to return items. People took advantage, and still do.

The way I see it, if a seller, be it Amazon, Walmart or Joe Schmo, offers a return policy, then they can't complain when buyers use it.

The Op offers returns, they need to suck it up, stop complaining, and honor the policy.

The main photo in that listing was one 12" rubber blade.   The title also specifically stated  one 12" or 18" Blade. The bulk box was last in the photo series.  This guy was just being stupid.  So I directed him to the listing description and told him to read it.

It's somewhere in the store management stuff. I usually pass over it, but being an old worn out dog, I'm amazed at all the younger folks that can't live without their phones. End of the world attitudes. I was using the mobile review link for my descriptions for a few years, and do understand the .mobi framework. Dig deeper, good info that is not always immediately useful.

Re: Just venting, may or may not be viewed as constructive

I've sold comic books, books, and magazines for 20 years or so on ebay, and yes , some people think I would actually sell 500 issues for $ 14.
Of course, if I buy a refrigerator for $ 499 , I think I'd read the ad to see what kind, and if it actually came with the doors....
