Items taken down as counterfeit incorrectly without the ability to prove they are in fact authentic

Hello,

Please can someone give me an advice on what to do. Since January about once a month I have a random item that is removed as counterfeit. This is not a vera warning, it is not coming from the company that manufactures the item, it is coming from eBay themselves. Every time it happens I chat or call and ask how I can prove the item is authentic with receipts. The associate I speak with say I cannot prove it, and can only tell me not to list the item again. Sometimes they make up random thoughts like that item is not allowed to be sold on eBay even though I have sold many in the past and there are thousands and thousands of other listings.  I was told that it was possible that other sellers are actually reporting my items so that they do not have the competition. One associate said that is not some thing they would take a listing down for, but the last associate I talk to said yes I also have the opportunity to report items. Almost like he was saying I could do the same thing. Regardless apparently now I have reached the limit of “counterfeit” items, and they put my account on hold for three days. I am so frustrated. My items are not counterfeit. I have no ability to prove that they are authentic. And nobody at eBay will help me including calling, chatting, And discussing the issue with eBay for business on Facebook messenger. I am so frustrated at this point that a company would allow this to happen to a seller who has done absolutely nothing wrong, and give no advice or help on how to resolve the issue. So it will just continue to happen until my account is suspended. HELPPPPPP.

Aren’t we supposed to be bringing people up in this community and not down??? If you have nothing helpful to say you can keep your comments to yourself. Everything I sell is pictured in my order history…EVEN the samples. If EBay cared to look at my orders I would provide them receipts and photos of every single item I list. The question here is why I am not allowed to show them my proof. Karen’s not needed here, thank you!

What a rude response from you!

You are a stranger to me and I have nothing to gain by taking the time to read your thread and try to answer your questions and offer advice.

My reply wasn't intended to "bring you down," but I'm also not going to coddle, comfort or give false hope. Just because someone doesn't tell you what you want to hear doesn't make their comments invalid nor does it make them a "Karen." (For the record, I strongly dislike that term or its connotations.)

My post was intended to give you an objective reason why you listing raised red flags with ebay (and likely with other experienced posters). Even if it doesn't help you get your account back, it can be helpful on other sites so you don't find yourself suspended there too.

The decisions regarding your account was made by Ebay, NOT by me or anyone else who tried to help and advise you.

But since you really don't care for objective and honest opinions, I'll refrain from trying to help you.

Have a blessed day!

That's not true,  after you 3 days you'll be fine. Just don't relist that item.  Vero's say on you for 6 months until they drop off.   He is right if you get another it will be 7 days and 10 after that so you want some time to pass without anymore warnings.     You can contact trust and safety and they will tell you the same thing.  You would have to do something pretty major to loose your selling privileged

I received my first Vero takedown last month.  I've been selling cosmetics for years.  Not sure why all of a sudden they are taking listings down.  The listing they took down isn't even a company listed on the Vero program.

Reading what you are going through makes me a little worried.  Who knows what they are looking for?

Same here. Been on eBay over 10 years and never had issues with selling. All of sudden they are took 5 shiseido items down last month. I have been selling the brand for 5+ years and nobody every complained it's fake. I don't get it

They do this to me frequently also. and if i call support they get mouthy. Got a manager recently and he actually told me to F myself and he didn't even care. I've had it. They refuse to admit when they are wrong and they silence anyone who has anything to say that they don't agree with.

I actually took it to another level. I went to the store to buy one more Shiseido product and scanned the receipt and sent it to the email that was provided when they removed it. Now I'm waiting for what they say.

If you’re not certain that your item is authentic, or if an authenticator has been unable to confirm its authenticity, it may not be listed
- We may remove listings if we receive buyer complaints that the item is not authentic. These items may not be relisted

No certificate of authenticity and/or complaints from buyers seem to be the most likely possibilities here.

If this is a Vero take down you will have to prove to Shiseido it is authentic. Then if they agree it's authentic they fax eBay giving you the go ahead.

Whatever you do don't relist an item that's been removed unless eBay specifically says  in writing it's okay.

I know I never relist if they take it down.

If you buy it in Tj Maxx and Marshalls how could that be fake? As I said I have been selling Shiseido for years and no single complaint about authenticity.  I'm still waiting for what the Shiseido company will say about the receipts.  My worry is they will say Tj Maxx/Marshals is not an authorized dealer.

Anyway, the Shiseido responded to my first email at 3,30 AM so I assume the email went all the way from Japan.

There is no such thing on eBay as a Vera warning. Unless you get your terminology correct no one is going to take you seriously.

They don't give you a recourse to prove they are legit! I could have an autographed tom Brady football wh tom Brady Siting by the phone ready to testify to its authenticity but its useless if they won't provide an avenue to persue appeals

We are having the same problem!

Sadly they will most likely refuse to recognize a legitimate receipt with "you could have faked that".

You know perfectly well what they are referring to.
