Items are not getting views all of the sudden

I listed some Fernando Tatis Jr. cards on my account yesterday after I sold a bunch from some auctions I started last week. The ones that I listed last week were getting significantly more views than the ones that I’ve listed yesterday despite them being the same cards that I sold last week (I have a ton of duplicate sports cards and I prefer to auction them instead of having a BIN price with a large quantity). Someone please give me some insight on this issue. Thank you in advance.

Took my listings down, taking a couple weeks off without looking back.

Don't bother with CS a complete waste of time - I did reach out, basically they told me yes you're items are getting seen, but they will get seen more with this new PLS!! So there's everyone answer...My sales have tanked also - listing new items daily does absolutely nothing to help either..

I have noticed the same issue, the views on my new listings are down significantly and so are the listing impressions. It seems to have started when they rolled out the promoted listings advanced campaign, which I am not a part of. In addition, if I search the history of my standard promoted listings, the clicks are down over 35% since they started the promoted listings advanced campaign. It could be a coincidence but it makes you wonder.

For months my weekly sales on all four of my accounts have been limited to 1 or 2 items.  Now although I am still getting basically the same few sales - the views have all but disappeared - lower each week.   I have never had single digit views 10 days after listing an item before - much less on half of my listings.   Some items I listed two days ago still show 0 views. 

I listed my first auction in months last week - an unusual collectible unlike anything currently listed on eBay although I did find a somewhat similar item that sold at auction for $167 two months ago.  I could find little about it from google.   I had 3 views the first day and none thereafter - ended yesterday with the same 3 views - very strange.  

I guess this is the new fall seller update being installed.

Is anyone else getting really high "external views". I've had low views for the past 4 days but noticed my external views are all of a sudden high and seem to not be counted in the view display. Is that maybe why views look funny?

Probably the most important line in this entire discussion.  "Something is going on, but it is doubtful Ebay will tell us why."  They've never been very good at honestly addressing concerns like these and I have little faith they will do so in the future.

how much holiday stuff do you have up?.........some buyers may have shifted over to buying that......  also the end of the month......paychecks needed?   Sales go up and down quite normally.........

How many were offered the CPC beta invite and did you take it or not?  I suspect this has something to do with it.

I was offered the PPC invite but did not utilize it

That type of advertising spending is just not what I budget 

Promoted listing Standard yes but Advanced is a whole other ball game

EXACTLY !  EVEN IF I USE THAT PROMOTED AND PAY EXTRA STILL NOTHING AND MY LISTINGS ARE CHANGED ? I HAVE 1 LISTING THATS BEEN UP FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND HAS 2 VIEWS ? WHATS UP ?

I suggest that the seller community at large start going over to ebay for business facebook and get a dialog started about the sharp decline in listing views starting at the same time as the roll out of pay per click promotions-if enough sellers make them respond we might get their attention.  Besides, it's crickets over here on ebay so I have time to spare since I don't have items to ship.

Yes this is currently happening to us as well. So a couple weeks ago I noticed this on particular items with the same word in the title and once I took out the word “pin up girl” I got tons more views?! Also at that time of low views I did a search for my item and it wouldn’t show up!  However the same thing is happening this week now on all kinds of random stuff I have posted and I have no idea what’s going on now!! Frustrating but also seems as though items relisted are worse. There’s definitely something going on because there’s no way some of my items have like 0-4 views whereas others have like hundreds! I tried calling and with no help.

I noticed an online magazine did an article about the issue. Too many people are complaining about it not to matter.

I thought it was just me, since I am new to listing multiple items. Some of my listings had only 2 or 3 views!

I paid to promote a couple high end items and it didn't seem to make a difference. Believe it or not I increased the prices on some items and they got more views and more things sold.

One thing that is really starting to bother me is the amount of non-payers and bid retractions. Just in the last week I got three non-payers and then I got one best offer, over starting price, so I accepted the bid and the the buyer emails me that she "made a mistake" she thought she was bidding...like you can't see that it says "best offer"? So, I cancel the sale, relist it and she bids on it. When the auction is about to end she retracts the bid saying "something came up". It is getting really annoying and I feel like I am getting the runaround from these people. What do you all do in these situations. I already had cancelled 2 other sales from 2 other people because I felt bad for them, but it's getting to be commonplace. Is it Covid?
