I listed some Fernando Tatis Jr. cards on my account yesterday after I sold a bunch from some auctions I started last week. The ones that I listed last week were getting significantly more views than the ones that I’ve listed yesterday despite them being the same cards that I sold last week (I have a ton of duplicate sports cards and I prefer to auction them instead of having a BIN price with a large quantity). Someone please give me some insight on this issue. Thank you in advance.

I got my first nice computer in 2001 for one reason: to sell stuff on Ebay. I'm an old picker and used to make an honest living selling stuff at the flea market. When I heard about Ebay, I could've sworn It was a miracle!
They were like a best friend putting my stuff out there for the whole world to see. I was selling stuff for hundreds of dollars, that I had in my "to donate" boxes. It was fun and I was making enough to pay my mortgage and light bill, just from stuff I found at yard sales. Met a lot of pretty girls at the yard sales to.
What happened to the fun, folksy, culture of Ebay?
Remember selling Dad's golf clubs and making enough to get your wife's car fixed? How about selling Granny's old china, and making enough to put a tin roof on the old farmhouse? Remember selling the baby carriage at a great deal to a young couple cause you're trying to help them out, only to find out that they just moved in across the street?
What happened? The dead eyed sharks on Wall Street got ahold of Ebay and they're sucking the life out of her. She's lumbering around like a blind elephant, lorded over by suits that have never had an Ebay business. Competition is popping up every day because Ebay lost their edge and became oblivious.
I was selling tons of stuff in 2008 when the economy was the worst I'd ever seen.
The economy can't be blamed for today's Ebay problems. Many people buy things specifically when the economy is bad because they get better deals on things.
THE SUITS AT EBAY NEED TO STOP TRYING TO FIX THINGS THAT AREN'T BROKEN. Ebay should listen to sellers first. We are your brain and backbone. We invest the time and money with no reliable outcome while Ebay makes money either way. No wonder why Wall Street likes Ebay, but they're missing the whole point. Good luck guys, you got a pretty girl there. You ought to treat her right before she disappears.
THE FOCUS NEEDS TO BE ON THE SELLERS NOT THE SHAREHOLDERS. ***GROW THE APPEAL OF THE BUSINESS FOR LONGEVITY AND THE STOCK PRICE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF. ** That's why Buffett likes Coca-Cola.

Here’s my experience. I have two similar items listed. I changed the word sequence for each listing title. The only time my listing came up as a “sponsored” listing was when I typed in the exact sequence of supposed search terms!! They came up in searches with with just one search term or a couple however, the items were way down the list and not sponsored. It’s a complete load of crap eBay is trying to push by claiming the item specifics and good search terms help customers find your items. I have tried unsuccessfully, to bring this to their attention.

I suspect the bottom line may finally get their attention....
I just love having to look at items that have ZERO need to be in my search pattern due to some foolish program says I might purchase such.....

Funny you mention that because I noticed that when you contact eBay for business on Facebook sometimes your views and sales drop off afterwards. Doesn’t seem to matter what you contact them about either! I think when you give them permission to view your account often they don’t exit it properly and it becomes stuck in limbo and therefore doesn’t function properly. Just a guess based on experience.

I agree!! The listings have become so cluttered with other options for people to choose from it’s ridiculous! I’m paying you to listing MY item, how dare they advertise the competition on my listing!!! Greed always gets the best of people.
