Hi. I ordered an item on another account shipping from New York.
Delivery January 15th.
Email said shipped from Missouri.
Last update was in Louisville since the 15th.
Waited until the 18th to start a INR case.
EBay emailed to contact them today, the 25th if not resolved.
Contacted E bay today. They have extended to February 4th.
Have 3 questions.
1. Does E bay do this a lot
I'm concerned because after I bought my item. The seller raised the price on the remaining quantity from $65 to $95. The seller contacted me and said there was trouble with my address and for me to contact the carrier. Their feedback is also not very good.(yes, I usually check)
2. Since an INR case was opened and somehow I do receive the item before the 4th. If the item is damaged or NAD, can I open that case with Ebay.
3. Should I not wait and contact my credit card now.
Sorry it is so long. Will appreciate any advice.

The extension of your case is probably due to
1. the item is still in transit
2 there are delivery delays due to winter storms that occurred throughout the US this week.
Yes, if the item arrives damaged you can close the INR and open a NAD.
If you don't get your item by the estimated date eBay gives you, you can return to the case the next day to ask eBay to step in.
If you contact your credit card company the eBay case will automatically close, eBay will no longer get involved.

They will usually extend the time if the item is "moving".........but last wk or so, been some bad weather in various parts of the country, including MO, I think, so that could have influenced them extending the delivery time. If you don't get it.......you will get your money back thru ebay......
The address comment does bother me though.......was the address you gave ebay the proper one?

Curious where you are located? In addition to the problems in Louisville that 68barbie referenced what is the weather like in your area? It's hard to say what other centers/hubs the package has to go through on its way to you.
EBay does this quite often for weather related events or other natural disasters. The following are in the seller announcements. You can also check the USPS service alerts.

Thank you for your response. We are in Pennsylvania. Our area had about 4" of snow and very cold temperatures. We have been very fortunate.
As a former eBay seller, I try to be patient. It is just in this case, I am not sure how reliable the seller is.

The item was ordered by my husband on his account so the "trouble with your address" is just an excuse and not valid.
As a former seller, I try to be patient and fair. Am just concerned about the reliability of this seller.

I would recommend you go to P.O. you use and ask them to do a Internal tracking system scan .it will have more details .

Glad to help . This how I handle package issues . also ask if they have photo shot of the package w label. Make sure you ask for the phone number of consumer affairs district office . it isn't the same as the 800 number.

You don't state what carrier or service was (i.e USPS, Fed Ex or UPS and or Service leve Priority, Ground etc. In the case of USPS they don't consider an item lost for about 15 business days.
You stated the seller stated said there was an issue with the ship to address - clarify the ship to address is the buyers responsibility. If the ship to is spot on - then your seller is BSing you
. Here in GA we had 2 snow and ice issues within two weeks almost back to back. No school days,day care issues, people stayed home (people at the hospital, police de and fire department showed up to work - HMMM- guess the rest used their PTO or a new year vacation day & no doubt some road were ice covered.
If you want this item wait. You won't be able to buy it at the same price - You can do a credit card charge back for a long period of time like 150 days.

Louisville distribution center is a catastrophe right now. They are backed up bad because of the recent storms and Dejoys bad decisions. It even made the news
