So a few years ago, eBay decided to stop me from selling because, for no reason, my bank account I ALWAYS used to get payments or pay for items from was no longer "verified". Oh, they can TAKE my money out to buy things, but won't let me have buyer's money go into it.
Now I just got an email saying my account's "restricted" (whatever that means, they had already stopped me from selling), so I followed their link.
NOPE, they STILL say my bank is no good. WHY. It's only issued from the LARGEST RETAILER IN THE USA.
I mean come on, just give me my money already.

Then why not just open a checking acct for Ebay deposits in another bank? Easy enough to do online.

What banks do they even take?!? They used to show a listing, somewhere, but i see people on here saying even that runs them into the same problem.
Where's a list?!?

You've waited years to get monies from sales? Have you checked with your state's Unclaimed Property Dept.?

The only two Ive heard that are unacceptable is BOA, and Chime. But Im sure you can Google to find some good suggestions.

Don't really know what "BOA" and "Chime" are, and I'd really hate to type in a search engine, "what banks does eBay take as valid for sales?" and get sent to who knows where that wants my banking information.

Tried to edit that to "almost 2 years", but eBay wouldn't let me use the edit function.

This platform will take Citibank, which is a national banking chain. You can open a checking account for free, upload the Citibank info to your eBay account, get the money transferred over, take the funds out of your new Citibank account, and close the Citibank account. All of this can be done fairly quickly, and you would finally have your money to yourself. There are options for you out there.
FYI- BOA stands for Bank Of America....

? Bank of America and Chime are banks that Ebay does not accept. Not sure why doing a search for the banks Ebay does accept would ask you for your banking information. You are making this more complicated for yourself than it needs to be.

If you're opening up a bank account, they're going to want your personal data, correct?

Not seeing anything free on Citi.
Cheapest I see on their site is $10 a month.

Hi @jinzobuy
When PayPal stopped processing buyers' payments for sellers ... sellers had to sign up for 'Managed Payments' so that they could continue to be paid. That meant providing your 1) SSN and 2) a checking account number where buyer's funds could be deposited.
I don't know how far you got in signing up for Managed Payments ... but you will have to complete it in order to be able to list items again.
If it literally has been 'years' since you were asked to sign up ... then eBay no longer has your money. It was sent to the Treasury of your state. I'm not sure what steps it will take to reclaim it from there.
If you want to talk to eBay CS reps who are the most knowledgeable and helpful in solving problems like this ... then you can do that from social media:
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
I'm sure you'll be able to get the details straightened out from there. Sellers have reported getting excellent help. Good luck!

My suggestion was just to search Google for the banks that Ebay accepts.

BOA is used by some. Seems to be some sort of a "localized" thing with that, or perhaps now that, to quote eBay, "eBay, and BOA do not see eye to eye".
Have seen posts where some claim that they are using Chime for eBay MP deposits.
