Is this a glitch? or am I the only one with this problem?

HI, this is first time for me.

Accepted an offer for an item I had for sale, however, I do not see anything on my main page as for "waiting for payment or on Sold page".

Item is also still available for sale on the listings as if the item never sold.

When I accepted the offer, it usually show the remark about item will be paid once the offer is accepted..

however, nothing has happened, as i accepted the offer about 4 hours ago this morning.

only place that i can see that "waiting for payment" is when i go to the email section about the offer  being made.

thank you for your input.

It is a new thing eBay is doing.

The item is not officially sold until it is paid for......someone else can still come in and buy it.

Your settings require a buyer to put up a payment source in order to make an offer in the first place.  If you accept such an offer, your buyer is supposed to be "auto-billed" and their selected payment source should have been hit for the charge which should have come through in a minute or so.

If it was not an accepted "counter offer", you need to contact eBay and see why their new "auto-pay" program did not kick in for you.

Try the US reps at one of these locations since the regular outsourced foreign call center agents you get vial a call back or chat are seemingly clueless.

Use the blue message button on this page:

https://www.facebook.com/eBay/

or one of these:

Ask why your buyers are not being auto-billed for accepted offers when you retain the "buyer rules" for auto-pay set to YES.  See what they say, and do let us know what you find out for others are reporting the same thing.

You can see your settings here.  While you are supposed to be paid right away if you keep them in place, buyers that are interested in more than one item from you are not pleased.  The payment options they can use are limited, and combined shipping for one shipping cost will not be an option.  You limit your buyer pool in exchange for  getting paid instantly for accepted offers.  It would be interesting to find out why it is not working for you and the others that are reporting the same.

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

Buyer Rules:

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.

In the last seller update eBay proclaimed that all seller generated offers were to be "immediate payment required".  It was found that any counter offers the seller 'accepted' were also included.  This has nothing to do with the "buyer rules".  This is eBay's new plan.  Though buyers can choose a payment source of their, each has to be paid separately, with no combined shipping.  In this instance of a seller 'accepted' counter offer, buyers don't even have to pay at all, and there will be no "non-payment" strikes awarded.

Don't panic it's something new as @aproudparent2010 stated. You need to wait until the item is paid for before the item is officially sold. Ebay made this change to fight non paying buyers who made offers and didn't pay for the item.

@bonanza125

The OP @jbplus316  requires a payment source upfront in order for buyers to proceed to make an offer. This is supposed to result in an auto-pay situation when said offer is accepted.  Do you know why this is not happening when the OP requires it?   In other words it should have been "officially sold" as soon as the offer was accepted.

Do you think that BUYER ID's are being unenrolled by eBay in the 'forced compliance/put up a payment source' auto pay program?

@ittybitnot

Ebay has it to where if an item is not officially sold until the buyer pays. It wouldn’t show up in there sold list which the OP is complaining about. The OP stated that the item is still up for sale so it has to do with the buyer needing to pay for the item first.

Thank you all for your replies...

I will just wait and see what happens.

p.s. how many days 'til I can process unpaid item and relist if the buyer does not pay?

Looking at my main page...on Orders section..

No mention of Awaiting Payment. It shows Zero.

@jbplus316

That would be 96 hours and one second (at least) from the Offer's acceptance.
