Is there a way to get a report for Shipping $ spent....

when ALL shipping labels are purchased on ebay? (not through 'pending funds' but through the only other way, Paypal?

If I click on an 'order' after I've paid for a shipping label, it breaks down all my costs and what my 'net' is, including the shipping label- so ebay KNOWS what the label cost is, but I can't seem to find ANY way to get this on any report (so I can easily total it).

Thanks for trying but I don't see it as it does not come up- only a 'shipping label' that I had to pay for (For an NAD)- see picture;

From the Seller Hub go to Payments and then Reports, Financial, overview, Time period, select Custom and adjust the date to the Time period you want.

From the report go to Expenses and the amount spent on eBay purchased shipping is displayed as Shipping labels.

A Transaction Report will show shipping from eBay.  It is a really big report and will show a lot of data for all most aspects of all sales.  You won't see the ship to address.

This is all the data you will get.

Transaction creation date
Type
Order number
Buyer username
Buyer name
Ship to city
Ship to province/region/state
Ship to zip
Ship to country
Net amount
Payout currency
Payout date
Payout ID
Payout method
Payout status
Reason for hold
Item ID
Transaction ID
Item title
Custom label
Quantity
Item subtotal
Shipping and handling
Final Value Fee - fixed
Final Value Fee - variable
Regulatory operating fee
Very high "item not as described" fee
Below standard performance fee
International fee
Charity donation
Gross transaction amount
Transaction currency
Exchange rate
Reference ID
Description

If you want all this information you must Download in in a PDF or CSV file.  The option is to the right of the Reports in my previous example.

If you just want to see a list you can just selecting Shipping label and adjust the Custom date.

I find the easiest way is to do it is through my monthly sales report on the HUB. You can generate it via last 31 days, this month, last month, annual, custom, etc.  If you scroll down the report you will see "Selling Costs", after the graphs. Shipping labels is the second line item.

@gloryglorygifts

@stephenmorgan

@slippinjimmy

I should have clarified- I do NOT pay for Shipping Labels via Ebay Funds- I pay via Paypal using a Credit Card...so NONE of those reports or report types show anything in the 'shipping' portion.

For example, in the Expenses- it shows $0 Shipping and $XX in Fees.

So I am asking again, although I 'buy and pay for' labels using Ebay labels- is there any 'report' that shows the amount paid (I do books monthly and have always had to 'run a report on Paypal and manually add up), but since these labels are 'purchased' on ebay, I thought maybe they had a way to see the total??

I was going to ask this question about your payment method.

Since you are using PayPal/Credit Card that is where you need to go to find the information.

Maybe there is a way to find out how much you charged buyers for shipping on eBay but as far as what you actually paid, if the money didn't come from MP funds they would not be tracking that.

FYI - I had to go back a few years (I almost never buy shipping via eBay) to find some purchased via eBay and paid for with pending funds. For those they did show up in a transaction report for 2021.

It should be pretty easy to get the numbers from PayPal, they can provide a detailed transaction report going back 7 years. The only other option would be to go over your credit card statements.

@slippinjimmy thanks for that; I've been paying and having to get 'reports' from Paypal for 15 years, and getting those 'payments out' are near impossible and they are NOT totalled; They also give 'statements, which for me are 15 pages long and then I have to 'manually' add them...every month for 15 years.

Was hoping, since on the 12 digit 'blue underlined' order number, after I buy a label, it shows the amount I paid in the 'order details (you know, gross, taxes, shipping, then taxes out, fvf out, and SHIPPING out to give me a 'net profit) (minus material costs and 'other' things) but for SOME reason, there is NO report showing the 'total shipping paid'.

Still.

How is you PayPal report presented?  Many reports are presented in a Spreadsheet format and can be copied into a Spreedsheet and then use the functions of the Spreadsheet to sort and total the needed information.

It's in a format where EVERY item has a large EBAY on it, which when copied/pasted I would have to 'delete' each one, then delete 2 other lines per payment, to get the payments to line up for an 'easy' total; and with about 150 transactions a month- very time consuming. I am currently just printing the CC Statement where I can manually add it up a bit easier (but still sux as I have to manually do it).

If you are using Excel there are two functions to remove Objects (EBAY IMAGE) in a matter of seconds.

One function you can hide the Images and Unhide the images.

The other function will delete all of the Images.

stephenmorgan_3-1726109720398.png

From the Editing Box select the Find and Select box.

stephenmorgan_4-1726109910947.png

Go to Special and select Objects.

stephenmorgan_5-1726109987368.png

Click ok and all the Objects will be selected as in this image.

stephenmorgan_1-1726109572936.png

Now just hit the delete button and all the images will be gone as seen below.

All this is done in a matter of seconds.

Once you get all the Objects cleared, adjust you column width and use the Sum Function to get the total.  The Formula for the Sum Function should look similiar to this =SUM(A1:A29)

Before you do this you may need to remove the − Charcter that PayPal has in their data.  Their symbol may prevent the numbers from adding up.  The âˆ’ looks like the - but it is not the same and it prevents the numbers from adding in Excel.

stephenmorgan_1-1726158012883.png

Use the Find and Replace function.  I did not enter a Replace with so this will just delete the PayPal âˆ’.  You could if you wish enter a - and it will also allow the numbers to add up but the total will display as -$0.00

stephenmorgan_2-1726158157511.png

After PayPal's − Charcter is removed the amounts are displayed and moved to the right.  Formulas can now be used.

stephenmorgan_4-1726158854442.png

If you just want to see the numbers you can sort the data and get all the numbers together and then cut and paste to a new column.

stephenmorgan_0-1726156213774.png

It seems somewhat complex, and it is.  But once you memorize the steps it takes seconds to do the entire process.  You said you have like 150 transactions you want to total.  Does PayPay give you all this information on one long scrollable page.  If they do then this should not take much time.  If you have to do this for each page of data then it would take a little longer.

Did you try looking at Paypal? You can generate monthly statements on there that show your expenses. Click on Activity and then Reports. You may be able to see it under there.

This only gives the shipping that was by UPS or Fedex. Most of mine is USPS and I cannot find a report for that.
