I see people reference listings and information. I have ZIP. Do I need permission, file a form or what?

The updates that we are given aren't really all that helpful. Had one from eBay a few days ago that "Khoros is working on it". Good to know, but have had that same update for several weeks now.

End rant
The Community is run by Khoros. It's a completely separate site, which seems to be the root of the obstacle to providing basic eBay information about each poster's ID (such as feedback and active listings).
So if eBay found a more competent company, they'd have to move the whole Community operation, as they did in 2013 when they started with Lithium/Khoros. Or if the root of the data access problem is something that happened on eBay's side, as Khoros claims, then giving Khoros the boot won't help at all.

I see no reason to ever click on a persons feedback if they are posting about a buying problem. Looking at their 'items for sale' or 'feedback' does nothing, so I don't need to click on them.
In the rare time when a poster posts about a 'selling' problem and doesn't post with their selling name, I click, see nothing and move on.

Not even to see if they are registered in Sri Lanka? A buyer's location can be a critical piece of information for certain kinds of problems, such as why a debit card cannot be used to make a purchase.
I may not give the exact same advice to a newly registered buyer that I would give to a veteran buyer, either.

It depends on their problem, but their feedback page can sometimes reveal more to the story than what they actually share. In addition to things like what country they're in (for example, UK members land here a lot, even though their issue might be something UK-specific), their feedback might reveal that they're a seller's nightmare, such as Feedback Left for Others that's mostly all red down the left side of the page.
Sometimes it's useful and sometimes it isn't, but it never hurts to look, only now it's a lot more of a hassle than it needs to be.

...sometimes someone doesn't like the answer to their question then, after criticizing the responder they start looking up for that responder's account then, well...who knows what's next...
...may be because of that, all now are invisible...

What if where the buyer is registered comes into play?
What if buying frequency is relevant?
What if the buyer's feedback received is part of the issue?
What if the buyer's feedback left for others is part of the issue?
What if the buyer's bid retractions are part of the issue?
I surely hope if you're not bothering to take a look at all of a poster's public information, you're not responding to their questions, because that would be irresponsible, and I don't see you as that kind of member.
