Is it the end? 24 years, scammers are proliferating and nothing seems to be done. Wiped me out.

After 24 years with eBay, April is either the end of my loyalty to this venue, or it's restructuring.

 

In 24 years I have had a few negative feedback's that were easily removed due to malice or verbiage.

 

After being scammed 2 christmas seasons in a row, by sellers who signed for packages and go refunded, hit me with hundreds of negative feedback and then had my products for sale on their page (still do) I spent weeks restricted after being advised incorrectly on policy.....I have data that show one bot is dozens and dozens and dozens of buyers who keep hitting us, and I can't get anyone to do anything.  

 

I've gotten to talk to supervisors who promised a lot, and guaranteed phone call's back that 4-7 weeks and counting still haven't came.  Watching my lives work burn at the hands of scammers and can't even get to someone who cares to take note and get rid of them.

 

As seller's, we used to be guaranteed protections but the overlap on buyers unmitigated protections leave us with no defense or recourse.

 

Day after day I hope to be able to at least use some of the resources to reach people but noticed instead my fees are doubled and no matter what I do performance isn't adjusted in the upright direction.

 

At my wits end.  Hopeless to see this come around.

 

Reading elsewhere on the web, I'm not the first or the last....

I don't get how someone with your feedback score is going with no returns policy and giving up the ability to use the abusive buyer policy.

 

Scammers suck, I completely agree.

No Returns does not mean No Refunds.

Even with a No Returns policy, you are allowed to demand the return of a disputed item before refunding.

You will probably, but not always be required to pay for return shipping.

However, a scammer wants to have the item and the money.

By demanding the return, you are making them do more work and get no item.

An honestly unhappy buyer will be mollified. (Not happy but mollified).

A scammer will not return the item, and you win the Dispute.

Eventually the cost of the shipping label will be refunded to you.

The loser in  Claim cannot leave feedback.

Suggestions:
 In addition to dropping the No Returns policy,  stop using Auctions for items that are readily available.

Less than 15% of transactions are now auctions, because buyers want Instant Gratification.

Many of those unhappy buyers are saying you didn't ship because you got less than you wanted in auction. True or not (I think it's deflection they don't trust that they got a bargain) switching to Fixed Price would end those charges.

And you can still give the auction thrill by using Best Offer.

Price your $500 tool at $275 then set Best Offer to accept any offer over $250.

You get your real price, the buyer gets his bargain (twice over).

 

Dude, the scratch was topical and could have been buffed out. You opened a returned, I closed it refunded you and you got a free tool. Then come on here and cry who is me.

Yeah. Those are expensive and sellers pay a lot for the franchise to sell them. One of my many nephews is a mechanic and I believe him when he tells me his tools cost him more than his truck.

In the case of the item where you responded that the scratch was topical and could have been buffed out, why did you not buff it out yourself before listing it for sale? And addressing anyone as "dude" may seem cool to you, but not to all of us.  

And if the buyers actually "signed for packages" but still got refunded, how did that happen?

If there was tracking proving delivery, you could have posted that information to the INR case.

Cant say what the Negs that have been removed might have been saying - but the Neutrals and Negs that remain seem pretty factual. You appear to have major problems with shipping on time and (especially) responding to messages.

 

You also had a major blunder involving multiple listings where you stated Free Shipping in the title but charged for Shipping anyway. You then ignored requests for shipping refunds according to the feedback you received. Hopefully you have all your listings corrected now.

You do not need Signature Confirmation on any Ebay sale below $750. Aside from that - how did they manage to get refunded if you had on-line proof of delivery to the address you received with the payment? You should be able to win the Item Not Received claim by uploading the tracking number to the case.

 

If the refunds were due to a Not As Described complaint that you either ignored or refused to refund then yes - Ebay will award the refund anyway and let the buyer keep the purchase. If the buyer files a NAD claim you still have the right to request a return before you refund - but if you simply refuse you will lose the claim.

What data is that and what are the buyers 'hitting' you with? Are they INR claims or NAD claims?

Even when an INR claim is made through Paypal or credit card, or an "Unrecognized" chargeback is used, eBay will usually have your back if you post the Proof of Delivery.

But you have to actively provide that Proof of Delivery, even though eBay probably has it already.

It's your money and your business and you have to actively protect it.

My dad and I bought my son a full set of Kobalt tools and I can agree.  It took us 4 years to complete it and it wasnt cheap.

dieselhead is the most professional ebay seller i've bought from. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of tools and not once had a late shipment, half the time the stuff is overnighted he actually has amazing fulfillment. 

 

As ebay seller's you should know better than to take 1% of his feedback as his sole source for reputation.

As seller's, we used to be guaranteed protections

After the Money Back Guarantee was introduced in 2008, I don't recall ever being "guaranteed protections" against scammers. The only guarantee eBay made was to buyers.
