Is anyone selling anything today?

Sales have been dead lately and seem even more so today. I checked a bunch of sellers I follow and sales are almost nonexistant. Something tells me Ebay is having some problems and listings are not getting full exposure. I have been trying to get myself to list things today and yesterday, but sometimes it seems useless. Motivation is sinking.

Finally sold an item after about 4 days. It was only for $30 but feeBay just took every last cent to my name with their monthly charge so I am not complaining. 

Unfortunately, I am not sure if my business will be able to recover from this.

I sell fall, Halloween and Christmas decorations.  14 sales in the last hour.

It depends on what you sell, how good your listings are, what your competition is doing and whether there is demand for your items.  That's just a general comment, not an indictment of any of you, I haven't looked at your listings.

It definitely does matter what you sell. I got to say however, that clothing sales are not just slow, they are catastrophically slow. I notice a lot of sellers are having 50% off sales and prices continue to drop. Too much competition on Ebay and in the retail world. Value of even high end clothing brands is being decimated. Oh well, that's life.

Not today, but, all my seasonal listings will be posted tomorrow. The only things I still have listed after the b.o. debacle are summer. No one is buying summer, thats normal. Darn app updates messed with my attempts to list the last 3 weeks. Still trying, but in that 3 weeks, all the nonsummerstuff is sold out.

Yes we are selling today.  If you have time on your hands, do some research, try some new things. 

• Post your stuff to Facebook and Pinterest, etc. 
• Be sure everything's mobile-optimized. 
• Run some sales. 
• List some more stuff. 
• Create some bundles of stuff. 
• Check if your stuff has enough search terms to get found on google. 
• Get started on your 2018 tax paperwork. 
• Learn some techniques to help customers find you again.
• Order some promotional package inserts to put in your orders. 
• Find some new packing materials. 
• Learn to use the customized eBay packing slip. 
• Buy a domain name to point to the front page of your eBay store.
• Not using a thermal postage printer yet?  Buy one and learn to use it.

Blaming eBay is easy.  Instead, take charge.  Use the time well to make your ecommerce business better and more profitable.

• Organise your ebay inventory so you know where everything is
• While you're at it - check your active listings against inventory (relist where they've magically gone poof)

That seems to indicate that items are visible and you can find them. Have you bought anything today?

I tried to shop for size 2 but ebay just gives me listings of size 2X and 2XL and 2XX. Any woman knows these two sizes are opposite of each other. So, needless to say, I gave up pretty quick. Too much waste of time.

Sales are slow I wonder if the hurricanes have had a part in it. I'm down 30% at the moment

I only sell Auctions here, and I only end them on Sunday, so I'm selling plenty today. 

But I hear what you're saying though, STR for most eBay sellers is tanking, and I sell fixed price elsewhere and I have the same motivation problem... it's a lot more motivating to write a listing I know I'll get paid for in a week than to write one that might not sell for a year.
