Is it better to list 50 items all at once or does eBay like it if I would list 10 of those items for 5 days?

Short answer is yes, any selling site rewards engagement and activity. Having constant new items coming up tends to draw eyes into your entire cohort of listings, along with that, eBay, for instance, has to constantly be drawing in buyers and that means constant new offerings - that new activity is going to be higher in rankings for that simple reason. I would list at least 5 a day, no more than 10 a day, and have more listings ready to go once you get through that 50 listings. @wholesale-importers

Doubt if eBay really cares. Why would listing daily be "rewarded by eBay"?

We do try to list items daily, if possible. What the short-interval is, not certain. When we list on a regular basis (or use relist feature) our sales stay steady.
Especially when we use relist or end a listing and relist it. Those listings (for us) tend to sell quicker for us.

I have noticed that when I don't list on eBay for a few days, I have no sales. As soon as I start listing again, the sales come in. I do think there is something to being 'rewarded' for working daily. When my daughter was away for a few days, I listed all day long. I had a lot of sales that followed.
There used to be a thread here many years ago that was entitled "Strive for Five", and I have tried to follow that motto. Putting up at least 5 new listings daily is the goal; some days I do many more, other days not.

Cassini likes to see daily activity on seller accounts.
Listing on a daily basis brings those listing up on search results for 'newly listed', but only temporarily since there are numerous other sellers also doing new listings.
To your Q I would do the 10 listings over a 5 day period, showing Cassini new activity for that 5 day period.

Personally, I think daily listing helps............but do your own experimentation...........List the 50 at one time......wait a wk....see what happens...........List every day for a wk.........see what happens......... obviously other things can influence sales........

Through the years I've seen many sellers say to try to list a few items every day or at least weekly.
They say it helps with placement, searches etc..
So I guess: A listing a day keeps your placement okay.. Or List everyday or your sales fade away..

This is an old wive's tale. There is zero truth to daily listing boosting your store beyond the listing itself. It is hilarious how many people repeat this bogus myth with nothing but biased anecdotal evidence. List all of your items as quickly as possible, period.
