Sellers keep a watch on your shipments going through the Indy USPS distribution center. I read that facility is understaffed and getting a lot of complaints and there is news on the web regarding extremely late packages either because they sit there for days or get sent to the wrong destination facilities and then have to be dent back across the country to the right destination. Do package research cases and contact your buyers when you see they are really late.

This should not be an issue for the sellers posting that eBay is dead and they are getting no sales 🤣
But seriously ...
If there is an issue with delivery, my buyer will tell me - and my buyers never tell me there is an issue with delivery. I have never kept a watch on any package I have ever shipped, IMHO it not worth my time to go looking for issues that never seem to turn out to be issues.

Last week a package of ours arrived at this facility, en route to the ebay intl hub in IL, and it sat for 5 days before leaving for the next destination in the same city. As always we contacted the buyer, assured them that we'd keep them updated, and there were no - ramifications.

Very true.
That being said.... Communication with your buyers is important @vintagecraze50 ! I know in the past you have been "anti" messaging your customers, but this is good customer service, and they will appreciate it. Heck, you might even want to send them a thank you message while you're at it.

Always good to do that as a seller and NOT wait until it is a fear response from the buyer who may open a not received case too early. Keep up with the good customer service.

I have six parcels right now that have been stuck in Indianapolis. If ebay can protect the seller due to weather are we going to be protected when a distribution center simply does not move the parcels?

Ditto the Detroit distribution centers.
So bad that Ohio had to extend the property tax payment due date because so many tax bills have sitting in Detroit for weeks.

Before the end of Feb, I foresee me losing over $1000 due to packages arriving late.

I always get a very nice reply from these customers when they know we are being responsible with this kind of situation and they wait and do not usually get upset as much when waiting.

Indy was a problem in November and December with delays, misroutes, loops and other disasters.
My limited number of packages passing through Indy showed improvement in January.
I have had no complaints about late deliveries from my customers, in spite of the obviously poor performance.

I know it must be hard for you being a high volume seller trying to do package research cases online to get the packages moving. Filling out those forms takes a long time for each case.

Have had numerous issues with that hub lately. They state due to weather delays, but does not really seem to be the issue with the routes these packages are going. Finally got one of the packages to move after a week in Indy by doing a package locator. Unfortunately 2 days later, it is back in Indy! Wish there was a way to avoid this hub. Luckily I have a very patient buyer.

Detroit is another major disaster. quite a few packages passing through it windup smashed to heeel, and USPS ignores insurance claims.

Indy was doing ok from after the holidays until the last week or so, at least for me. I've got several this week stalled there, it goes right from my post office to that hub. Going to eat some profit to change to FedEx and UPS on things that might make sense to do so, shut down some things that don't, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.

I live in the metro Indianapolis area. I have a number of outgoing and incoming packages caught up in this mess. Initially, they were claiming it was weather related delays, but it was actually above average temps and no rain. The local news has been covering this mess lately, and Indiana's Congressional delegates on both sides have submitted a request to answers as to what is going on, and what is the plan to fix it.
Hopefully eBay is going to have our backs on this. Getting insurance claims paid out has been tough lately, no matter where you buy it from.
