Does Ebay now allow you to post your company logo and website in your listing photos ?
Because Ebay has removed all customer service phone contacts , I can not get a clear answer.
I sent eBay an example of another listing that all the photos have the seller's website and logo
And this was the response.

Not completely specific to the link thing, but related to bot policy detection.
I don't report much, but reported a listing that was advertising 'free' shipping.
But in the description they wrote something around the lines as ... we leave the shipping free because each location has different price and we want to give you the best price possible. After you purchase we will give you instructions to pay for your specific shipping via Paypal.
Well results...
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."

Completely different subject. You are correct what the seller is saying is wrong, but still it has nothing to do with the subject of this thread.
However it is yet another example of how the AI is simply problematic. If you are game, you should contact Ebay and report it.

The OP included AI response decision in the first post.
Providing an example of how things can be blatant policy violations and how poorly the AI is capable of handling the situation I believe is directly related to the topic.
The topic is created because the AI is determining things are acceptable when they aren't.
This is creating confusion to what is and isn't allowed.

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.
The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

I'm not worried about watermarks or text in images causing photos to be suddenly snatched away - the AI used here is so primitive that I doubt it'll get that granular. I personally would not put another company name/contact in my photos (I put other things) because it feels unethical, but if they want to foist crap AI on us and cut customer service, then as far as I'm concerned they're going to get lots of violations because human nature.

The algorithm can't read pictures. It's a problem we have at work when compiling documents for audit if there's a photo of a document (like a complaint being photographed instead of PDF scanned), the system can't identify the document and we need to put manual tags on it in the file.
It's against policy to put your logo or website in a pic, and you can't watermark the pic either (which I see people do anyway).
To get around this i use very loud backgrounds for my photos and no one ever steals my pics. Also when scanning the listings if you do a search and you buy from me regularly, my listing will stand out by the photo with the loud background, even before you open the listing and see that it's one of mine. So I get repeat business this way when they stumble upon my listing while doing a search.

Photos with added text, artwork or marketing material
They don't enforce that one either. LOL... No sense reporting.....The AI is too dumb.

I'm aware, I said I was wrong and I also went back and edited my first post regarding this. But thank you again for pointing it out. I did initially provide incorrect info.
