If you use Promoted Listings Standard, are you changing anything now?

We've only had a day or two under the new PLS rules, but I'm wondering. IF you use PLS (no need to comment if you don't use it), are you planning any changes in how you use it, in light of the recent changes?

I plan on experimenting with lower rates and I'm going to be more selective when it comes to which items I put into PLS campaigns. I will also try to do more with social media.  Whether any of that will do me much good or not I don't know.

What are your plans?

Stay the same, make changes, or stop using PLS entirely?

I use PL sparingly, I will not be changing anything.

After looking at the number of clicks for Mar 30th on my advertising dashboard, I ended my current PLS campaign (set with dynamic ad rates), which included all of my BIN listings.  Even though the large increase in clicks on the 30th was organic, the listings were promoted...so for me that registered as here comes HALO sales.

I started a new campaign last night.  I set the ad rate at a fixed amount, at about 50% less than the dynamic rate I had set previously.  I also only choose to promote my single-item listings and left the variation listings not promoted.

Honestly, I have no idea what I am doing.  Just experimenting at this point.

Here is a screenshot of my advertising graph, showing the large spike in clicks on the 30th in case anyone is interested

I stopped using it...I have a few hundred still. I took all my high end stuff off. I will return to it when the weather in the USA is better maybe. Most of my sales are International now due to the bad weather in the USA. My 3 sales today are International and not promoted. The bad weather in the USA has dampened my sales this winter. I notice I didn't get charged for promoted listings even though it's been less than 30 days since I took my high end stuff off of it. I prefer listings more items to get more notice. I did a few promoted listings at 25% which is crazy, right...they didn't sell so I took them off promoted listings and they sold. So strange.
