My buyer and I are totally confused. She sent an offer which I countered, she accepted, and then almost immediately Ebay cancelled the order saying she didn't pay on time. I had to manually relist the item and am sitting here crossing my fingers the buyer doesn't say, "Forget it!" and I lose the sale. She actually thought I might have cancelled, which I definitely did NOT! Anyone else having or ever had this happen?

The item number of my cancelled item is 274773455725
It was cancelled right after they purchased it. I also received an email saying that they paid. The reason selected for the cancellation was buyer didn't pay in time.

Same happened to me on multiple orders.
Seller support said they are aware of the issue and are currently working on getting it resolved.

The standard read off the screen CS response. When ebay actually fixes it is another issue. Sure to be some angry buyers/sellers and lost sales. The daly glitches just keep getting worse.

There's a post about this on the tech issues board, too- one person there called CS who said it was a global issue, while another called CS and was told they didn't know anything about it.

She sent an offer which I countered,,,
The ability to send a counter offer was broken for over a week. Glad to see it is fixed, but the consequence of the fixing seems to be (not unexpectedly) the breaking of something else. Sheesh.

Hi @coffeebean832 - thanks for the tag - I'm knee deep in reporting today and would have missed this otherwise.
There is an open tech issue for this - I'm going to get a proactive post up on this shortly.

I've never heard of this!! WHAT?!? Looks like 'Bay is over-managing things and it's going over their heads. What's going to happen next?? Ya know, 'Bay already has a rep to fight: they joke about it 2 times on 'Big Bang' and on other shows and it bugs me whenever I see it joked about on national tv. We and the site just doesn't need these 'glitches' and needs to slow down and get it under control! There are lessons on how to steal, cheat, etc. online and the jerks and desperate ppl are getting more bold about trying it. We-are-in-real-trouble here! Inflation is going to "justify' going to great lengths. What the heck are we going to do????????!!

Same thing happened here...mine was hours after their offer was accepted. I’m hoping the buyer is understanding and will still purchase. Of course they are mad thinking I did it!

As we at at the very end of the world, at the foot of Africa, the last outpost before Antarctica, we can only survive when NOT IF people combine parcels and then only can we discount the shipping.
Our business model has always been to encourage buyers to shop for up to 30 days.
For some time, ebay has been harassing customers PAY PAY PAY.
As sellers, we need to be able to choose what our policies are!
ebay has provided the option to automatically open unpaid item cases after 30 days - which is GREAT - and this has worked well with the above. NOW, interfering and moving all the toys around without thinking - this 3 or 5 day payment insistence DOES NOT WORK FOR US.
Daily meddling and moving systems and tools around - just let sellers choose which functions work for them - after all, we are paying their bills! No sell - no bucks!
