How long does it typically take for ebay to "approve" your info update? They sent me this notice way back in October and put a red banner notice on my Seller Hub. My deadline was January 24. I waited this long because, well why give them security sensitive info when it isn't yet required? What if they had a breach between October and now?

Assuming there isn't anything wrong with my drivers license that I just uploaded, how long does the approval usually take? The banner went away and I didn't get email confirmation that I uploaded the docs. If there ends up being some issue for me to fix (we know how ebay can be), will they give me more time for that or will the January 24 deadline stick? Will they notify me in any way that my ID verification has been approved?

Have you checked for any emails in the ebay email system. LOOK there under messages. If there is nothing, why don't you contact Ebay via Facebook. Their staff is very knowledgeable and fluent in English. Contact them on Facebook via messenger. The conversation will be totally private between you and them. None of your friends or family will know that you reached out to EBay. They will respond in a day or two. Make sure that you give them your Ebay ID and full name. Do not give any personal information until you get a response from them. They will tell you if they need more information and that information will be submitted through the ebay system and NOT the facebook system. For now, just your full name and Ebay ID and email address will be plenty.

I never got any notice from them that they received my updated info. The banner just went away after I uploaded everything. I would think that you should be fine.

No, the banner is gone, and that's about it. If you uploaded something that was rejected, within 24-48 hours the banner will reappear. If your banner is gone, assume you're good. When it reappears it will be in Seller Hub (or whatever that thing is called where you see your orders) at the top with a warning to upload your documents.

No, I never saw an acknowledgement except that the red banner had gone away. That's all I would expect to see. If you don't see the red banner I think you are good.

It hasn’t been 24 hrs yet but good to know. Hopefully it is this easy peasy lemon squeezey for me. Probably read too many of the ID verification horror threads. Thanks.
