So I ended up selling a PC for $900 I already contacted paypal and ebay and ebay told me they would send me an email to report the person and they can do a full investigation that would take about 20 days (I'm still waiting for said email)
I have all the documentation to prove that I was scammed (paypal marked the payment recieved and canceled) and my Item was stolen my question is what is usually the results that I can expect when this whole thing is investigated?
Will I get my money that I sold for the item? I know its probably impossible to get the actual item back.

@sandmansales wrote:Paypal does not mark funds received and ok to ship until the funds have been verified. Buyers cannot cancel an ebay payment. So I'm not sure what ebay would investigate. If you shipped without payment, ebay nor paypal is going to help.
Unless there was a glitch in paypal's system, sounds like you got the classic fake email from the scammer. If so, you are out $900.
@sandmansales OP didn't get a fake email. The PayPal all incorrectly states "ok to ship", as shown in the OPs screen shots. The website says NOT ok to ship. The app says OK to ship. And the scammers have figured this out and are out here in full force scamming eBay sellers!

Although you are getting your money back, did you also ship with online viewable signature? This is info for next time, but that is required to protect against at least Item Not Received claims when the total with shipping is $750 or more.
Just an FYI and PSA.

And if that's a screenshot from today, it's even more classic - says Payment Received - Cancelled, and OK to ship under it!!!

Hey @soulreaverr186 can you help out this seller http://community.ebay.com/t5/Payments/Yet-another-Scammer/qaq-p/27570406/comment-id/56206#M56206 maybe tell him what you told paypal & what documents you provided?
He has been scammed the same way you were. But paypal is not helping him despite his screen shots.
I'm glad paypal is reimbursing you! This should have never happened in the first place!

@Anonymous here is another seller that has been told it was OK to ship and the payment was later cancled.
I'm happy to hear that PayPal is helping get this resolved! For instances where PayPal provides guidance that it is okay to ship, the item is sent out, and then an issue arises with the payment, PayPal is typically able to offer protection to sellers. There are also rare instances where the notice to ship is provided on eBay, but PayPal did not give this indication, and in these cases eBay is able to look into protection options. While it can be a little confusing to know who to reach out to, these situations are thankfully rare. I would recommend if anyone does have to deal with this in the future, contact PayPal first and then don't hesitate to reach out to eBay if PayPal indicates this is an eBay issue.
