They are not being answered on the 2018 update board.
I have questions about the multi variation listings. I have listings with the same item with different sizes and colors(hence the multi variations). lol
When I search those items, it shows a separate listing for each one. This is so confusing, and will be to buyers. How do I fix it?
Also, I thought our existing listings would automatically switched over, now I hear we have to do it manually. So we cancel each one and create a new listing?

Hi @tweetystwades, I've been unable to recreate the issue you are describing? When I search for your item, I see listing that then allows me to view the variations without issue. I don't see multiple listings in search results. Can you share a link to the search results you are seeing? I've included a screenshot of what I am seeing below for reference:
I did a random search on the brand and attributes, and I saw the "Group-Ungroup button at the top. When I clicked "Group", a separate listing came up for each one in the variation. Now when I search, the "Group-Ungroup button is not showing up. So I can't recreate the issue at this time. Please try to do as I said searching the brand and attribute, and clicking the "Group" button.
I couldn't recreate on that one, but here's another one that it's happening to. This is one MV listing, and it's showing a separate listing for each one.
Here is the link to the MV listing.
See screen print.

@bigdeals.etcwrote:Sorry I can't test that for you right now because I don't see that "group similar listings" button on my search results page... I see it in my ipad only for some reason.
But it would help if you were more detailed in your search, so one of us can repeat it for you. You mention you used brand and attributes. But what words did you use exactly??? I tried searching your brand "NY Collection" with "Checkered" (to filter out the other general results) and the color "Red". And I see your listing on top with the Red shirt photo. That is behaving as it's supposed to as far as I know.
I see your listing has two pulldowns with two options each... which should be a total of 4 combinations (variations).
You mention that if you search with the group similar items button, you see your variations split up into different listings??? Are there different listing IDs for them too? When multiple listings show up in a search result, all of the listings should have different listing IDs... unless you have that listing in the "promoted listings" campaign you set up (Sponsored).
Please stay with me I need someone to see what I'm talking about. Here is another one, I've saved it, so I can tell you how to recreate it. In the search bar type Hula honey side tie bottoms. My item comes up $15.99, one MV listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/Juniors-Hula-Honey-Side-Tie-Bikini-Bottoms-Crochet-Style-XS-S-M-L/122453695...
You will see the option at the top right "Group similar listings", click that. Instead of seeing 439 you will see 142, scroll down and you will see 7 listing for my one MV listing.

Hi @tweetystwades, can you provide the URL to the search results page. I'm having trouble recreating your search experience with the listings as a resource, but if you can share the link to the search page, I can look at what you are seeing.

It's also changing my title and color. They are side tie bikini bottoms, not string bikini. How is this going to work?

tweety they can't see it because grouped isn't being shown to them. That listing in grouped is somewhat being broken down to single listings by color....

Hi @tweetystwades, thank you for sharing the search URL. I can confirm that this is working as designed - when grouping similar listings, the items are grouped based on the product identifier, which would vary between different variations. This increases your buyer's success when searching for a specific item. If you have any specific feedback to provide on this experience, you can review our Announcement from last October regarding grouped listings and select the "Tell us what you think" link at the bottom of the article.

Hi @bubbleman2010, the titles would be displayed from the information we have available for that specific product identifier in our catalog. If there is an issue with what is being displayed, this can be reported to our Catalog Team by emailing sdsupport@ebay.com. Be sure to include the product identifier for that variation, what is currently displayed and what you believe should be displayed.

Forget about what I think right now. I'm just trying to figure out what my buyers will see before I go out of business. How are MV listing supposed to work? We can't create MV listings anymore? What will happen if someone trys to buy one?
