Because eBay's policy enforcement has never been comprehensive, timely or accurate.

And with 1.5 billion listings, I doubt it ever will be.

That happened to me a while back....it was a self defense keychain but if you look now....there is hundreds selling on ebay right now, maybe someone was offended as usual and turned you in, I miss the 70s where we lived much freer.

I just had a fluffing new sealed BOARD GAME taken down for being COUNTERFEIT when there are more than 500 listings of this version of the game still up.  What's the deal with that?  Contacted Ebay for Business on FB and am getting the double-speak runaround.

I would guess most of the items that get removed are probably being reported by another seller who is selling the same thing and wanting to eliminate their competition.

Because eBay does not catch every listing.  Me, I’ve been pinched for bringing raw milk cheese into the U.S. - I don’t complain that someone else was successful, I just find a way to not get caught the next time 🙂

Some people get away with speeding … or even murder … and others get caught.  Same with listing banned items on eBay.

Has it ever been different?  Has ‘others are doing it’ ever been a successful defense?

Maybe someone can start a new venue specifically for listing/selling offensive items. [You busy, Elon?]

So, posting non-violent Black Americana valentines and old minstrel programs are like getting away with murder?  What next?  Will eBay become woke enough to send FBI swat team to haul in us evil doers.  Or, better yet, maybe their staff should all join school boards.

Calm down, all they said was that just because someone does something against the rules and doesn’t get caught doesn’t mean others can do the same with impunity.

But yeah, making money off minstrel show programs as oppose to either donate them to a museum or throw them in the bin is icky, imo.

Naaa. just ebay's playground and there rules that are not clearly written but applied..... Just dont list such.

Oh and you can go report all dem other listings if you want: Not worth the time in my opinion.
