90 day total does not reflect actual sales

I had a couple listings where the buyer won the bid/offer, but did not end up paying. The orders were cancelled and listings reposted after that, however my 90 day total shows the number as if those orders were actually paid for. I never received all the money shown in the 90 day total and I don’t want that to reflect on a tax statement - it’s inaccurate. Does anyone know how to correct this and get the 90 day total for what was actually paid for?

depending on which 'report' you are looking at, that is correct...it has to be classified as a sale, and then deducted/reversed as a non-payment...

It shows Sales ...not INCOME.....

the SALES total will rarely match the INCOME total......

If no payment is received then there will be nothing for eBay to report on your 1099K.

I'm a bit confused by your post, but the Form 1099-K will reflect only monies that you've received in payouts. The total will include the amount the buyer paid for the item + shipping. It will not include sales tax. If there were refunds issued after the buyer paid, those will be included in the total, as will any and all eBay fees. It will then be up to you to subtract all applicable expenses.

Here's a good explanation of the 90-day total from another poster:

How is the 90-day total calculated, seems wrong to me?

The number shown on my 90 day total is not accurate because it kept tracking the dollar amount of orders that did not end up being paid for - those orders were cancelled and relisted. So to clairify - the number shown on my 90 day total does not match what was ACTUALLY paid for

The numbers on Ebay goes by what is sold, not what is paid for.

If you get a 1099K, it'll show just what was paid.

Have a great day.

Thank you for clarifying. Won’t this also affect my monthly sales limit though? I feel like it should reset if the order wasn’t actually paid for. One of the offers I received was thousands of dollars - it ended up not being paid and that has dug deep into my 20k monthly sales limit

That is a very nice, pricy watch that you are selling. Make sure that you ship that item with SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION.  You must use  SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION on any item that sells for $750.oo or more.  Also make sure that you verify the payment in MY EBAY before you ship.  There are alot of scams.  Goodluck on your sales.
