I've never had that happen. Was the message's body copy anything that may be considered questionable?

Edit to add: 'Questionable' meaning including email, text, personal info, etc.?

I get that when I click on an email notice but am not logged into the eBay account that the question pertains to.

Click on the (1) after your ID. 

In the URL for the page that opens, remove your ID, and enter that user name.

Hit enter.

On the page that opens (feedback for that ID) over on the right you can click on "contact member"

If I can't answer from the notice on my listing, I go to the email itself to answer.  That usually works just fine.  If not, and you have the user name, click on their feedback and use the contact member link to write them.

If you have multiple accounts, you need to make sure you are logged in to the same account that coincides with that email.

If you have a single account that is associated with that email, make sure you have logged into the ebay account recently.

I didn't get an email, I only got a message on my ebay selling page.

buyer is 'no longer a registered user' meaning ebay kicked him/her off. You don't want to contact this buyer.

If they are no longer a registered user, there is no need to reply.  eBay did you a favor.  No doubt a prior scammer who's been kicked off of eBay before.  Opened a new account and got caught again.  Be careful.
