I really don't understand!! I got a 'violation" for listing a jar top only of the pancake lady (I don't dare say who) how ridiculous!! I never thought this violated any policy!! The thing that gets me in addition to what a dumb policy this is, is that there are TONS of listings for "A.M" yet they are fine and allowed. eBay if you're going to enforce the rules, you should enforce them for everyone. If there are "too many' listings to do that then you need to speak to your IT department about the way you "search" for these listings because it's half A***ed!!! Some get to stay and others are removed? So glad I'm paying all the high fees.
I'm so ticked. Wonder if I can list that on Facebook Marketplace or are there the same dictators over there? Anyone know? Thanks.

"There wouldn't be any problem if Greene were depicted as a 'successful career woman'."
Greene was a successful career woman. I am also sure many black women who looked
liked her and dressed like her was proud too.
Sometimes these reactionaries suffer from being too middle class.

Didn't you know ? Ebay is the online Gestapo ! They are so nit picky it isnt funny. Th Aunt j name was good since before i was born and now all these idiots with their name problems on items make you sick. Political correctiveness is a total bunch of garbage !

"It's a strange way to encourage diversity, this removal of every non-White image from commerce."
What do those non-whites know about good taste 🙂
I like Land O Lakes butter. Mia was always a nice bonus.
Oh well Mia, you have been erased.
As for Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben, their image suggested good food.
You know, there is still a renegade out there... Sylvia. A black women selling canned
veggies and she has her picture on the label. She needs to be erased too.

"Did she also enjoy being a slave?"
She enjoyed being Aunt Jemima, earning a very good salary, traveling the country
and developing a fan base. The money she made allowed her to support her favorite
charities including helping other blacks form businesses.
Emancipation came at an early age for her. By time she died she was financially
comfortable, well known and happy. From slave to a success story, her story
and life choices make a story worth telling instead of hiding. It is a pity it was
taken from her.

Evidently Quaker Oats disagrees with you.
After years of criticism that the Aunt Jemima label is a caricature of Black women and promoted racist stereotypes, namely the "mammy" character, Pepsi Co. has finally taken action.
The company, which owns the Quaker Oats Company behind the controversial brand, announced on Tuesday that the popular pancake mix and syrups will now be under the name, "Pearl Milling Company."

I don't understand how her story was 'taken from her'. It wasn't written on cookie jars ... or any of the Aunt Jemima products that have been removed from shelves.

"Evidently Quaker Oats disagrees with you."
And they are free too. That doesn't change Nancy Greene's story.

You eliminate Aunt Jemima, you eliminate Nancy Greene.
Just because she didn't fit someone's idea of glamorous.

I dont think anyone is trying to eliminate Nancy Greene, that was her choice to represent the label. What you dont seem to get is just the Aunt Jemima label itself represents a racial "Mammy" stereotype that is demeaning and hurtful to a large part of the population, not to mention all the children of that population..

Think about how hurtful that is to the chubby, round faced black women in the country.
Think Hattie McDaniel. Get rid of her too? Isabel Sanford? She need to disappear?

eBay is not acting like a dictator.......they are getting a jump on what is coming to America and the behavior that is expected with it......Communism !! The people running the country now are in high gear to take us in that direction. The borders are being opened up and the immigrants (almost all non-white) will be given FREE healthcare and Free housing then.... voting rights to keep these Commies in power. Then they will "Cancel" all white U.S. heritage/history claiming it was ALL racist ! What eBay did to you is child's play compared to what is coming. If the commies had complete control of the country now......you would probably be locked up !

My guess is that your listings are for pieces that you made USING Swarovski stones, yes? It could just be that ebay had lots of trouble with buyers questioning whether stones were the real deal or not, and no way to prove one way or another. Swarovski crystals are in a unique no-man's-land between 'brand' and 'semi-precious gem' in fact they're both, but each crystal does not have anything on it to prove it is Swarovski, therefore you can maybe understand why ebay might rather simply disallow handmade items 'supposedly' including Swarovski crystals.
On the other hand, Swarovski makes and sells whole-piece branded jewelry (and figurines, etc.) where there is either a brand stamped into the metal component, or sold in a box with the brand name/logo. I have a whole lot of Swarovski jewelry pieces for sale right now, listed under the 'Designer Signed' category, so it's no problem. That is probably the thousands of listings you see with 'Swarovski' in the title; they are Swarovski WHOLE products. But who knows, maybe some are actually handmade, but those sellers figured out which categories to use, and which other terms to NOT use. Like maybe they call their pieces 'artisan' or home-made or something that doesn't flag the bots.

"Pearl Milling Company" whoa....most pearls are white !! Shouldn't that name be changed too.

It is going to get better and better. USPS announces no more air packages they want to go ground. This includes flat rate boxes. They will also be limiting postal facility hours. They will be raising shipping rates. In other words we are going to charge you more and give you bad service , and you will love it. Ground was so slow I have gotten packages from China faster. Get ready for more of you have nothing and love it. Pancake lady can not see why that is offensive shows a woman who loved to cook. Maybe she was a housewife. Joke is the nation has lost their minds.
