So, have not been Selling here for quite some time, and suddenly want to start selling some items I do not longer need , but suddenly sees that I have been Restricted from Selling. I guess it is because I have not been Selling for the last 3 or 4 yrs or so..
It says GO LOOK at your Messages. I go look at my Messages, but I have no idea what I am looking for and I can not find anything specific.
Am I looking for something that is may 4yrs old then or perhaps something I have deleted ages ago?
Who am I supposed to write to, to get this in order?
Or am I supposed to start with a Listing that is a Low-Value Item perhaps? Like something that is $50 instead of $400 maybe??
What am I supposed to do to find out what to do, so I am able to sell some items that takes up too much space in my apartment?

I will go ahead and ask a moderator to close this thread only because I believe it has ran its course.

I think ^^^ that's exactly what you'd be looking for. Did you leave owing eBay money or dissatisfying a buyer?

Does it have anything to do with your post from 9/18/2001
"My Account is at risk of Suspension"

Have you verified your bank account and SS#?
02-26-2025 02:21 PM
Have you completed the registration with Managed Payments? Given your bank account #, etc?

Owing Ebay Money? Nope. Dissatisfying a Buyer? Nope. Dissatisfying me? Yes. I need to know who to get in touch with that can solve this.

Be you are a sporadic seller (EBAY sets selling limitations and EBAY will hold you money for 30 days).
A lot has changed since you last sold item (EBAY no longer uses PayPal for their money management). All sellers are required to enroll in new Managed Payments (you cannot get paid until you do this).
You must provide your checking account# and social security# (EBAY reports your income to the IRS). NAME on your checking account, social security card and EBAY profile page must be EXACT MATCH (or your application may be denied).

I think Ken's got it. Can you narrow your message search to near the timeline of this post? Read through and think back...

Yep, that is true. Lot has changed since last time I was selling, and I only have been using my Ebay account for Buying on occasions. I read that you had to enlist your bank account number and such, but I understood it could wait till you at least had sold your 1st item. No true?

It should be noted that the OP is in Norway.

"We wanted to let you know that your seller performance is still falling below our minimum requirements in the United States."
I think you were mistaken back then. The minimum standards for sellers had nothing to do with the volume you were selling as you posted in 2001. It had to do with you failing to meet eBay's definition of what eBay considered to be a seller in good standing.
eBay's selling standards have changed constantly over the past 25 years, and I do not think anyone here can remember exactly what they were in 2001. But I suspect it had to do with feedback percentage, detailed seller ratings, and disputes.
As for who to talk to, I think that was something you needed to address 25 years ago. I doubt eBay is going to reinstate you as a seller at this point.

Yep, now I need to figure out what this IBAN stands and what is for.
I guess I will figure it out and things get´s easier after I figuring out this.
Should probably be nice and sell some items again on Ebay after such a long time. Need to get some items to some better homes that just takes up a lot of space.
Thx for hammering this in. Needs to do this even for just some tiny things to sell.

From your other post, I have a feeling you'll have to find another place to sell your items.

And by the way @luckythewinner... Sorry,I do not know what you are referring to when you mention a thing like something back in from 2001. I was not on Ebay back then. I came mUcH later.
I am back and want to sell on Ebay again, since I do juat have a few things I need to get rid of and that takes up way too much space.
I am not here to sell for many years. I am here to get rid of items that are in need of a new and better home for a few mths and then I am done selling. I will still buy as I been doing for a long time some items on occasions though.
Anyway, thx all for info and help.
