I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

O.K., so this is IT. I am not going to list here anything else in the future - regardless of how many FREE listings eBay prefers to throw my way! Seriously considering not even relisting the ones already listed here, though I may give them some time to run out on their own.

I absolutely HAD it. Three times in a row - with weeks apart - a buyer claimed false reasons for returning an item, in order to get FREE shipping, by leaving me no chance to refuse the return shipping cost! eBay does NOTHING to protect the sellers against these kinds of atrocities. The buyer can open a case of return with literally ANY invented reason. eBay does not ask the buyer to provide a photo, or otherwise explain the reason, making it now even harder for sellers by extending the return times. JEWELRY HAS A 14 DAYS RETURN,  per eBay's own statement. My listings of jewelry have a 14 days return, also. Not 21, not 30. eBay nonchalantly announced to change this, for absolutely NO logical reason, because so many people being currently at home, the return time-frame could actually be shorter, but definitely not longer!

30 days gives buyer plenty of opportunity to have a change of heart and mind, and simply return the item claiming non-existent "Item not as described," or even worse, DAMAGE the item and then claim that it was damaged already when sent by the seller.

I describe my items correctly, and for the most part, provide 10-12 pictures for each. I accept returns with NO questions asked, but I am not going to pay for any more dishonest buyers to claim non-existent reasons for return. Strange to note, With hundreds upon hundreds of sales elsewhere: I did not have a SINGLE return on my other selling sites, for years! Not because I do not accept returns. My feedback on other sites is also 100% with NO returns, ever.

Add to the picture eBay's continued harassment for giving them all kinds of private information and being charged a tax of 12.5% on the tax portion of the sales come July - I am out.

You are losing MASSES of honest, experienced and knowledgeable sellers - many of whom are much higher volume sellers than my little business - because you provide the most horrible customer service to your sellers, eBay!

I think I have seen enough. Totally FURIOUS about people stealing my money that I work VERY hard to earn, and will no longer expose myself to this kind of abuse.

I regret that I have EVER returned to this site, to be truthful. The way you are treating your sellers is ABYSMAL. The only entity making money here is YOU eBay - and your preferred few.

Good luck to all sellers. Looks like some of you will need it...

PW

ROFL.... My mother would smack me for it... My kids are just rolling their eyes...

I hate photobucket right now... PS Answers given years ago may or may not be current now, please check with current posters to the boards to see if the information is still relevant.

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

Speaking of China sellers, I am noticing a new trend in their auctions. Some (Big players) are listing for 1c with $260 shipping. Their items sell for this because they are wholesale lots and the bid would have been the same were it reversed.

Anyone know if FVF's on shipping has changed for China since Covid? It looks as if some of these Chinese sellers who have been here a long time and I have bought wholesale fossils from, are now putting all the item value onto shipping. Curious if they are getting help due to the shipping mess coming out of China with cargo ships being held up, it's all a mess over there and can now get ALL the money from shipping without paying FVF's?

It doesn't make sense to me that some of these big sellers are now doing this, unless they are bypassing some fee payment.

Anyone know?

For whatever reason there might be.  There are still those buyers who only look at the price of the item and do not consider the shipping.  Sad but true.

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

Maybe you could try putting no returns inside the body of the listing?

Sorry this is happening

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

One site I sell on occasionally, make it very hard to return anything. I even think it says they don't accept returns. I have to double check, but I had spoken with other buyers and sellers on there and they said it is very very difficult to return anything. My sales are always great on there when I do list, just have gotten lazy and haven't listed on there in a few months and the very few listings i have up still I forgot about I sold 3 of them last week. Never have had a problem, no bill, money goes to your bank acct. Super easy form to list. I checked today and had several messages asking when I am going to start listing again because they love my stuff.
Thinking that is what I am going to do tonight. I am on the fence about leaving ebay, I have done well for the most part but I don't like the lack of seller protection on here at all. Also, Not looking forward to setting up managed payments and not sure I want to do that. So I may be done by the time I am forced to go into MP. I heard from people on the boards that have had so many problems with it.
Also, does anyone know how long it is before you get your money for your sales on MP? I like that Paypal is instant. I am really unhappy on ebay right now.

...you should be careful in naming any race as you wrote this..."...Asian sellers are a real issue in some categories..."

...your input reminded the statement from California Governor Newsom recently, "...Coronavirus was from those Nail Salons..."...the Asian Community is now suing Newsom for being discrimination against Asians because 99% of those nail shops owners are Asians...

...he definitely won't get any votes from Asians next election...but he probably won't care as illegal votes and dead votes will make it up for him...

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

I like Etsy and I opened a store but I am so confused on how to set up the shipping on there. I don't know, going to try and figure it out so I can put on more listings than 4. I wanted to try it out but I just don't get the shipping on the listing form. It is so confusing. Seems you have know what everything weights, measurements etc. to list something. I won't know that until I actually ship it. I don't get it. Is there a way around that?

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

...based on your inputs...is there any evidence to back up for your statement that eBay was burdensome in submitting sales tax for sellers is last 2 years...and because of that, eBay now force sellers to compensate for their losses (by MP program)...???

Putting No Returns in your description doesn't do anything towards the OP's issue.  In Ebay having a No Return policy will no protect a seller from getting INAD filed against them.  Now a seller with a No Return policy can choose not to take that return as any seller can do that as well, but then they will need to refund the buyer.  So while you may not take the return, you will end up giving the buyer their money back.

The only type of claim a no return policy can protect a seller from are properly filed Buyer Remorse claims.  If a buyer files one a seller with a No Return policy can choose to take the return and refund or just deny it.  If the buyer does send it back with your permission it is at their expense.

The OP has a mixture of Return Policies depending on the product she is selling.  Putting your return policy in the description of your listing isn't the right place for it.  IT has a specific field for that in the listing set up.

Re: I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH, THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE!

@dinpavent0

...as some sellers whom were already on MP earlier confirmed that the funds will be deposited to your bank account from 2 days is the soonest up to 10 days or further...

...one seller that I bought many caps didn't get her money from my PayPal paid until 5 days later (as I counted the time based on her shipping schedules)...

The way I learned things is that Asia is a Continent.  Inside that continent are a number of countries, one of which is China.  If it is not politically correct to call people from the continent of Asia as Asian, I'm unsure as to what they are suppose to be called.  I'll need you to give me more details on how this is offensive to you so I better understand so I don't repeat the mistake.

I never even mentioned where I thought the virus came from so maybe you need to revisit my post and point out to me where the heck I even said that.  It wasn't even part of the conversation.  So don't misrepresent what I've said to meet something you want to discuss.
