Wrong answers only please 😂
Hi, I live all the way up in Alaska and it would help, if the CD case could have extra protection; so it won’t get crushed, cracked, or damaged on the way up here. Some strong small rectangle cardboard on front and back of CD case. Double wrap it in bubble wrap on front and back of CD case please! Then put it in a small box that is big enough, but not too small, where it would be hard to get out or get squished. Then put it in the envelope. Anything you can do will help! Thank you!

It is shame this is not more specific!! Hard to tell how best to get this done? Lol. (Really need a sarcasm font!)
2nd thought - people still buy cds? Huh.
No idea what Alaska has to with it? Delivered by bears chewing the parcels in-route?
Am guessing your Buyer has purchased items from sellers who juat shove a cd case in a bubble mailer with no protection.
This guy is perfect for Amazon's drone beta program. 🙃
Dear Buyer
Noted.
Sincerely,
Awesome Seller

Make up a steel case the same size as the jewel box and weld it inside. Bubble wrapped, of course.

Sounds like a buyer who got one-too-many broken CDs from careless sellers. Would respond courteously of course, with assurance the package will be carefully wrapped for shipping.

Heck yeah...people still buy vinyl!

Gonna burn you a copy and send via email. Guaranteed not damaged in transit.
But really, if the buyer lives in a remote area, its quite possible packages are subject to some harsh treatment. I some times get specific packaging requests from international buyers--like double boxing--I get it they have probably had bad experiences.

I agree the buyer must have had bad shipping experiences with past cd purchases.
I occasionally purchase used books from those huge eBay booksellers. I can't even count how many books I've received that have been put in a poly mailer and subsequently damaged during shipping. I intentionally purchase books that are "new" or "like new" so they're not beat up. I'm to the point where I'm almost afraid to file for returns on these damaged books for fear of eBay flagging my account for abusing the MBG.
So, reply courteously and pack extra cautiously.

I would use a carrier pigeon. They are very reliable and don't break things.

This is how I would respond........
"No problem, I always surround my cd's in cardboard before placing them inside a bubble envelope".
FYI - The piece of cardboard I use is always slightly bigger than the disc case so it's well protected and will not (under normal circumstances) suffer from any case cracks even if subjected to being bashed about or having a heavy object land on top of it. From experience this will not prevent damage when driven over by a fork lift but that has only happened once out of thousands.
CD and Cassettes cases are notorious for getting damaged if they are just sent in a bubble envelope with no additional protection. While a case crack is not the end of the world it is quite upsetting to some and so very easy to avoid.
A standard cd will usually weigh more than 4 ounces packed, adding additional cardboard might raise it to 5 - 6 ounces but there is no difference in shipping cost for either First Class or Media Mail (and the cardboard itself should be free).

After 90% of the CDs I bought on-line arrived broken, with loose discs, or shattered cases, I made sure when I started selling CDs in the early 2000s to buy and use proper CD mailers. Bubble envelopes are bad enough, but I still occasionally get one mailed to me in an un-padded envelope. Really can't blame the buyer for asking this.

I sell them by the pile on another marketplace, and the CD sections in our local thrifts are constantly haunted by people looking and purchasing. I purchase CDs because streaming and downloads are really inadequate for a lot of music save a crazy high bitrates.
