My OOAK listing for 4 Tommy Bahama Bowls - 2 blue & 2 yellow - $30 free shipping - My personal internal business identifying MPN number 321 used in most of my listings - My item number 133648512502.
Stolen / copy of my listing - exact photo of my OOAK listing & item specifics I created including my personal MPN - Their Price $94.00 - Their item number 234069115814.
I find this type of thievery / price gouging of my items on occasion and it ticks me off that unscrupulous people are allowed to get away with this on eBay.
First thing I did was add that seller to my blocked list. If they happen to sell them to an naïve buyer they won't be able to get them to ship them and will get an out of stock strike against their account. (I have the only one of that particular set).
What can I report them for? People copy my listings all the time and eBay does nothing about that but this is overboard with the price gouging aspect.
Appreciate any suggestions.

Laugh at em and hope they buy yours if they sell the stuff.
Any thing you post to ebay: belongs to ebay and they allow other to share... That is so you know.
Of course it is best to do ones own work... But the list one like is also a cause of this...

The eBay image and text policy is rather laughable
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/images-text-policy?id=4240
"You may contact the member and ask them to remove your image or text from their listing if it is not part of the eBay product catalog."
HAHAHAHAHA

It's not price gouging. Tommy Bahama bowls are not necessary for life or health. It's just a lazy and unrealistic seller. Unfortunately work ethic and business sense are not requirements to sell here.

Yeah, the list one like it option is a real pain when those who copy a listing haven't the sensibility to check "their" listing to make sure they haven't committed fraud by copying business identifiers assigned to another seller. Heck, I have some who copy my eBay user ID into their listings. Lawyer and law enforcement told me that is misrepresentation and fraud.

If you are okay with your price, then I wouldn't do anything. It only makes yours look like a bargain. At least your item is new. I've had others copy my photos on used items--not really smart on their part.

Have your legal advice read the eBay user agreement.
They need to before giving advice.
Oh and any self respecting one would advise you not to use ebay: after reading the user agreement... LOL.

I know that any photo we post becomes eBay's free for all. A slap to all sellers when eBay disallowed the watermark identifying of photos.
What ticks me off on this thievery is that it is a one of a kind set that I put together and they have the unmitigated gall to try ripping off a buyer with their grossly inflated price.

Well, it's not just the photo, it's the text itself. Someone can literally copy and paste your entire ad, title, description, and photos, with no recourse other than "contact the seller".
What a joke.

Are you sure? Doing a search for 'tommy bahama bowls' returns 1233 hits. The seller who copied your listing has 4 other Tommy Bahama bowl listings and the completely different style of photo for each listing shows that they almost certainly copied from someone else in every case. I do not think they are coming to buy yours if they sell theirs. I think this is just a lazy newbie seller who finds another listing for something they have and then copies the text and images.

In my mind it strikes me as a type of price gouging and or fraud. Typical con artist who owns nothing attempts to make money by presenting someone else's property as their own at a greatly inflated price.
(I own and physically possess every item I list).

But what makes your price fair and their price gouging? Over in my selling account I sell restored items at auction where some other sellers list the same things as Fixed Price for twice what I am getting at auction for mine.
In fact I see one or two of my regular buyers trying to flip stuff they got from me at higher prices. I dont much care because for every one that they might sell to some clueless buyer with deep pockets I will have sold five more of mine at auction in the same time period.
I would be upset if they copied my text and photos - sure. But when your items are brand new then some other sellers probably think they can copy your listing because theirs are brand new as well.

I am debating putting my listing on vacation for awhile.
I might lose a sale for a bit but "they" would not be able to circumvent my block by having a buddy purchase my bowls if by some strange chance their listing sells at that price.
I know, punishing myself maybe, but doggone it, this frosts my cookies! 😠
