How to report misleading details when I haven't ever bought the product?

I'm looking to buy a specific very expensive product with extremely stringent specs. I found two potential listings claiming to meet these specs. But in one listing the necessary supporting documentation is missing. And in the other case the supporting documentation that is included disproves the claimed specs. What is the mechanism for me to bring these issues to the attention of eBay?

Since I know the claimed specs are wrong, I won't be buying from the sellers. So I  consider it to be eBay's problem, not my problem. That's why I'm not identifying the product here.

I have brought the issue to the attention of the sellers, but I haven't yet received any reply from them.

Although it's not my problem, I consider it my responsibility to bring it to eBay's attention because the price in one listing is more than $5,000.00, so the "no returns" policy is likely to big a big headache, although the seller has a 100% rating.

the "no returns" policy is meaningless because eBay has a Money Back Guarantee. Basically, if as you say, the Item is Not As Described (INAD) then the buyer is entitled to a full refund, regardless of the seller's stated policies.

I have received refunds on expensive items with "no returns" ($3,600 & $12,000). However, those were INR (Item Not Received), but same principle and same use of MBG.

A return is a headache whether the item is $1 or $5,000. However the process is the same.

Lastly, no buyer should consider spending $5,000 without scrutinizing the listing as you have, so the buyer does have some responsibility although it's the seller's fault. eBay will do nothing however regarding this, but you are free to report as others have suggested.

The sellers no return policy means nothing, all buyers are protected by Ebays thirty day MBG. They also have six month back up security with Paypal or their cc.

On a browser, It's to the upper right of the Item Specifics/Item Description section, above the Item Number, as shown here.

Hi @davigrossma1

If you are using your smartphone to access the eBay app, the “report this item” link is in the upper right hand corner. Click on the three dots. That will reveal the report button. See screenshot below.

(This report feature used to be more prominent. Now it is nearly impossible for the uninitiated to uncover it. Bad enough that misleading listings exist, but hiding the report link sends a questionable message:

“Hi! Welcome to eBay where sellers who get it wrong can rest easy!”)

Re: How to report misleading details when I haven't ever bought the product?

The three dots aren't there. When I do a screen capture to include the image 502x200, eBay displays the error messages:

You do not have permission to upload images

An unexpected error has occurred

I've pored over the source html for this seller's pages, and the code for the button is always within a container whose class includes the word PSEUDOIMAGE. I think that means the image is hidden until you click in a particular place. But I have no idea where that place might be.
