Just logged on to create listings and I get this ridiculous set of choices ... immediately did the survey asking how to opt out. I DON'T NEED THIS KIND OF HELP, what I need is access to the create a listing page where I can access my 40 plus Templates for most of what I do ...
All this does is add extra steps, a complete waste of programming time not to mention MY TIME.
This might be fine for a new member, like "Create a listing for Dummies" type thing ... my templates START with the info they are asking for ... really really stupid.
My Templates have ALL my prefered settings ...
NOT IMPRESSED
NOT HAPPY

Maybe they are hoping to make money off irate Sellers who "chuck: their laptops out the window from heated frustration?? lol

I'm baffled by this absurd "update." Do they really think they're being helpful?
I use a 3rd party listing service for everything I sell... and I never, never, NEVER go through eBay to create a listing. Now, rather than providing the helpful overview as I've reviewed through "SELL" for years now... it takes me to their colorful, but worthless display ad? There is nothing there that I want to see... and nothing I will ever use.
What were they thinking? It's a radical departure... with absolutely no warning. What's the point??

Sad part is, I am sure someone at e-Bay DOES think this is being helpful.............smh

I submitted FB through the question mark icon on the top right of the page @mr_lincoln. Gave it a 1 (out of 5) rating and said something like 'the page is geared towards newbies - where are templates and drafts of established sellers?'
I encourage others to do the same.

It's apparently a glitch - probably goes along with the periodic seller hub glitch.
I've just been selecting templates from the left side bar in the listings tab.

Just tried to find my saved templates as well - they are not here! What the?? I have over 20 saved templates............Man, I am so not gonna like this tomorrow. I do need (as does everyone) to get some new product up. Wow - it let me relist with no issues. But I cannot access my templates either! GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR...............................
@katzrul15 The work around to Templates I found to be through the Draft folder ... click Drafts then the Template link should be over in the left gutter where is normally is. Now, if you are saying the deleted all your templates that's another issue entirely.

@wastingtime101 Very good advice, I respect and appreciate the calm approach you showed ... Mr Lincoln was NOT happy last night and WAS NOT using nice words ... I definitely had about 10 minutes of R Rated behavior ...
The system did kind of go in circles when I typed in "A Pile of Doggie Doo", it could not return any suggestions ... not even Dog Bones ...

@chapeau-noir Not a glitch ... the overlay page is designed to specifically accept typed input and has three choices one can make ...

@saturdaystoys Where eBay absolutely FAILS with this sort of thing is they have the survey request AFTER they launch these idiotic ideas ... they would get a much better response if they did a Survey that included those choices and ask Sellers if they thought it would beneficial ... at which point they would have gotten good feedback from experienced Sellers who actually know what they are doing and know what works and what doesn't ...
The approach they use invites reactions like mine, NOT HAPPY ...

And the hits just keep on coming.

You said 'logged on to create listings' - I presume you clicked on the same link as you always do, and got that new page, right? If so, which link did you click on, a template, the 'sell' on top or a sell similar?
If it was the sell link OR a template, then it doesn't affect us as we don't use 'real' templates [we sell similar] and haven't clicked on any sell or create listing from scratch link since ... day one in 2001? - even after the heart attack in 05, when everything on ebay 'timed out' we just used turbo lister to relist from.
But if it was what you see after clicking on sell similar then WE have a problem.

Thanks... Things appear to have gone back to normal this morning. I can once again view my current listings simply by clicking on "SELL" at the top banner. Hope it stays that way. If they decide to force us to use another method of accessing listings in the future... resistance to change can typically be overcome with an abundance of communication. On this matter... there was only crickets.
That said... for the past two days, I have enjoyed eBay with NO CAPTCHA. Now this morning... it's BAAAAACK. With a double-layered dose. ugh.

Or the active & unsold/ended listings pages.

Curious; I don't know if I am using the 'new listings'- there have been some changes (ie. Pictures are first, Item Specifics of about 20 items are next; then the title etc.)- is this the 'new one'?
Also curious, if you have templates, can't you just click any one of your items, click 'sell similar' and then change as needed (that is how I've done it for years, up to again this morning with 2 listings)
