How to cancel an order when Buyer did not pay?

I cannot find the Resolution Center to cancel an order. Does anybody know what has changed, and how to cancel an order for unpaid item?

Correct. It is not automatic; you must turn it on.

If your buyer has not paid within 4 days, eBay, on day #5, will cancel, refund your FVF and give the buyer a strike.

We don't cancel orders for non payment anymore.  Ebay does it automatically after five days and gives the non-paying browser a strike.  There were several emails announcing the new system and about a hundred posts on this message board.  That horse didn't have a chance.

According to eBay they are not cancelled automatically, you can however set it to be done automatically.

For the transition when it was first introduced, anyone who had their Unpaid Item Assistant activated would get automatic cancellations after 4 days. Anyone who did not have the Assistant activated would get the option to cancel after 4 days, but it would not happen automatically.

You can turn automatic cancellations On or Off as desired, and you can add buyers to an exclusion list as desired to prevent automatic cancellation of their Unpaid items:

Re: How to cancel an order when Buyer did not pay?

Thank you for the picture and instructions. I haven't had a problem for a long time, but guess with the way things are, better to be safe than sorry. I also discovered the excluded list of buyers with too many strikes against them that couldn't buy my items. I had no idea it was there. So thank you!!

@yoonix1

>how to cancel an order for unpaid item?

Go here,

https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase

You have three selections on this page.

1) Automatically cancel unpaid items. This should be set on.

2) Select how long buyers have to pay for items. Set this for 4 days.

3) Automatically relist canceled items. I leave this off as I prefer to relist using "Sell similar"

Now when a deadbeat doesn't pay after 4 days, eBay will automatically cancel the sale (although they will send you a message saying YOU canceled the sale). You will not receive any charge for fees, all feedback will be removed (and no new FB allowed), and the buyer will receive an unpaid item strike (so says eBay, but that's another story).

Don't forget to go here,

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

and set "Block buyers who caused" to 2 and "cancellations of unpaid purchases within" to 12 so the strikes will have best effect for you. Don't forget to add the deadbeat to your BBL on this same page.

You can go here,

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/blockedbuyeractivities

to see how many times the system blocked deadbeats from buying your items.

HTH.

The original message here is from September, 2021.

You appear to be responding to what I said at that time.

What did "No they don't" mean? That a buyer is not refunded if he opens an INR case?
