Hi everyone,
I've sold the same product to 60 customers but only received one feedback. Does anyone have suggestions on how to encourage more customers to leave reviews?
Thank you

Feedback is voluntary and optional no one is required to leave it.
It's never a good idea to "encourage " feedback, because what you get isn't what you want to receive.
eBay already reminds buyers to leave feedback by either sending messages and or as a reminder in their feedback page.
Be patient, the feedback will come.

I ship same day and offer paid 60 day returns.
Buyers are often surprised at how fast their parcels arrive and note this in their feedback.
Also equally surprised at how the item they receive matches exactly that which was in the listing.
I reckon I get one feedback for every two to three sales. I do not solicit feedback under any circumstances.

A lot of buyers don't leave feedback if they are satisfied with their purchase. It's when they are not satisfied, that you have to worry about.
eBay sends reminders to leave feedback. That in itself is annoying but when a seller asks for feedback, it can get really annoying. I read that one buyer left a negative for a seller who kept asking for feedback, something like "Here's the feedback you keep asking for".
Patience, grasshopper, patience.

One way to receive feedback is to buy from sellers who have automated feedback on.
Another way would be to directly message them and ask them to leave feedback. I think this works 1 out of 10 times. Sometimes maybe 3 out of 10 times 🙂
Another way would be to leave feedback for your customers after purchase & no issues were made. This would also lower the possibility that they would cause you problems in the future (in my opinion).

I used to send buyers a quick little email thanking them for their purchased and let them know I left them feedback and would hope they do the same (while linking out to the feedback page).
3 times out of 10 it worked! I think of it as a soft nudge especially if I assumed they liked their purchase.

I've found that I receive feedback on only about 25% of the items I sell so I think you just have to have some patience and it will start rolling in.

Leaving feedback has been slowly becoming a thing of the past for the last 15 years or so. I get feedback from about 1 in 5 sales. Most are business customers and they don't bother with feedback. The eBay oldtimers leave it out of habit. Not so much with the newer ebayers.
I have not had a feedback on Amazon in over a year. Had one in 2023 and one in 2022. Easily over 500 transactions. No one bothers anymore.

Many consumers are tired of feedback - they get pestered for it from all sorts of entities. Internet-wide the feedback response is about 30%.
I leave FB when I ship, thanking my buyer and telling them that their item has shipped. That might help, but I don't know, as I'll do it whether it helps or not.
The FB seems to come in spurts, also, for some odd reason. So yeah, just keep going and it'll accrue.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to encourage more customers to leave reviews?
My kneejerk reaction is... "Don't". Good luck growing here!

With your low numbers, I wouldn't risk asking for feedback in any manner. Another bad one would really hurt.

When there's no feedback, assume the buyer is content with the deal.
So, go ahead and do a little happy dance! 💃
