How long does a listing run for?

I would like to list something.   I am curious as to when I would want the listing to end.  i am thinking 9pm eastern time on sunday evening might attract the most buyers who like to jump in at the last moment.  Is this a good time to end auction?  I cannot find how long a regular auction listing lasts.  I will need to know this in order to have auction end on Sunday.

Typically 7 days, or 168 hours, though sellers can choose different durations.

The web is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and people buy at all times.  There is no 'best time' any more.

You can select how long to let a listing run,  though 7 days is the usual for an auction item, if you want it to end on a Sunday list on the Sunday. You can have an auction run for 10 days or 5 days if using these then a bit of planning is needed.

If it is a 'Buy it Now' item at a fixed price then you can list it on a rolling 30 day listing until it sells, this is also useful if you have a few of the same items you wish to sell as for example you can list 10 selling for $2.50 each and buyers can select how many they need and make their purchase.

The seller chooses the duration time of the listing.  You can list an item for 1, 3, 5, 7, 30 days or good til cancelled.  If you want an auction to end at a specific time, you have to schedule that (there is a fee to do so).

The best way to figure this out is based on how your demographic shops.  What days/hours of the day do you sell the most product?  That will tell you when most are shopping.  I would end auctions around that time or about an hour after.  You can base this on your buy it now sales.  Our demographic does ALOT of Saturday shopping, so our auctions are listed on Saturday evening and end the following Saturday evening.  Best of luck selling and hope this helps.

They wouldn't have to schedule it if they just start it at the time they want it to end.

And 1 and 3 day auctions cost an extra dollar. A 10 day auction has no additional charge anymore.

30 days and GTC are fixed price listings. Doesn't much matter when they end.

It depends on if you doing "buy it now" listing or if you are looking to sell on auction.

7-9pm eastern time on Sunday evening seems to be a good time. A lot of people suggest that. I do that, I also end other nights.

The days I don't like to end a listing are Friday and Saturday because it can add a day or two shipping time for the weekend. I actually have had success with any day though.
