It is disconcerting to find that Ebay agents are instructed, knowingly or unknowingly to lie to members about the operating of their policies. E.g. The obvious fact that they targey certaim sellers for special policing if they have had an item removed in the past.

Yep, once you violate eBay's rules, particularly listing banned items, you are on their watch list.
I'm on their list too.
And their rules don't always make sense.
They often kill flies with A-bombs.
But that's their way of CYA.

Or in my case I had a book removed for "encouraging illegal activity" only to have ebay send me an email a few days later showing a new listing for same book with the email header of "still interested".
Right hand meet Left hand.

I wish ebay was just as aggressive with scam listings.
