You can Void an unused eBay postage label up to 5 days after purchase. It takes 2 - 3 weeks for the credit to show up because USPS won't approve it until they're sure that you really didn't use the label.

If you purchased online postage, you should be able to void the label wherever you purchased it (ebay, paypal, usps.com).  You have a limited time to do so.

If you purchased postage at the counter, I can't imagine you could void that, but the place to check is at that post office.

If you bought thru ebay, just go into your sales record. There's a Re-Print/Void option.

Well, kind of.  Coincidentally I bought a prepaid return label for a customer earlier this afternoon.  Right after I sent it to him, he decided he wanted to keep the item.  No harm, no foul right?  Except now when I go to the transaction on PAYPAL there is no longer a button to void it.  If I want a refund, I need to open a case against the seller (USPS) in the resolution center.  The reasons for opening a case have nothing to do with simply wanting to cancel a label.

Of course.
