The item in question is an Organic Beetroot Head, listed under "Collectible Figures Pieces & Parts".
What's the big deal? Well, it's a one-of-a-kind and, that alone, makes it special and unique.
The questions are:
How do you put a price on something like this?
And in which Category would you list it?
I appreciate your thoughts 🙂

I put a price on it, but the question is how do you know if that's the right price? How do you evaluate if it's over or under the price? Does it have to do with demand and supply? Do you make a number in your mind?
That's what I meant...

Should I add it to your listing, then?

You blew my mind! I would never imagine there would be someone so funny and smart as you in the world.
How many hours did it take you to think of something so witty...?

And then after buying it, according to news reports, he ate it. HUH?
This what you call middle finger to the world money.
H L Mencken would be proud.
Poor lil' techbro has nothing on Cleopatra, however, who was reputed to have dissolved a pearl in wine/vinegar worth approx. $28,000,000 in today's money, in a contest with Marcus Antonius to see who could throw the most expensive party. 😖

Thx! What would be the correct category, in your opinion?

True, thx for the suggestion and thinking ahead 😉

I produced something unique this afternoon that nobody would buy at any price, although some might call it art. It wasn't any less attractive than your beet root.

My grandma would probably put it in a stew....

Unfortunately, I am still awaiting my appointment to the new Cabinet post of Department of Esoteric Bric-a-brac -- so I'll regretfully have to pass up on your (cough! cough!) "valuable" item.

I have to admit to having some interesting roots which my wife has saved over the years. I think they are packed away with various bird's nests.
I don't know that I would consider listing any of them because I have no clue how I would pack them for safe shipping without getting into dimensional weight.

This takes me back to the good old days of ebay. When you could list virtually anything, even a snotty hanky, and it would sell.

You are asking for at least a thousand dollars and still need $15 for economy shipping?

You never know, some people buy anything!
12-01-2024 03:26 PM
Exactly! I miss that...

So, where would you list smth like this?
