I just learned this in the community chat. If your item is priced above the “average” selling price and hasn’t sold after 8 days, they automatically turn on your offers option. Seriously. You have to go in and check every day for anything posted 8 days ago and turn the **** thing off. BUT, they said that even then, you’ll have to do it again in another 8 days if it hasn’t sold. So those of us who sell collectibles that are there when collectors are looking for them and are quite accustomed to and organize our listings (and our lives) in that vein, this intrusive invasive controlling new policy that treats us ALL like we’re on a shareholders quota is nonsense. How and to whom do those of us who are doing this as a sideline hobby sort of thing explain that we are NOT ALL THE ******* SAME! PLEASE! For those of us in rural slow internet areas, every time we have to dink with some button or gizmo that you’ve literally imposed on us, is an unnecessary waste of our time. Who do we need to talk to about this?

You can protest right here on the boards but unfortunately it will not go anywhere. Upper management does not read these boards. They want items sold and Ebay to make $$ nothing more, nothing less.

Instinctively, I suppose I knew that. But, one can hope. I’ve only been back a week and a half ha ha. I left in April over **bleep** like this. I just saw where its been this policy since 2017. I put offers on some, but rarely. I’m still jumpy from before! Selling here, I love the hobby fun granny doll setups part, but then I gotta put on my big Bidness britches and put the knitting needles down and watch my back to see what ol’ sneaky (and unappreciative of our hard work, if I may say) ebay number crunchers have done to my store while I was sleeping. (I swore I would never come back. This is my third time back ha! I know...)

I suppose you could voice your displeasure with eBay's policies through customer service or writing a letter to the CEO at the corporate HQ. I probably wouldn't put much hope in it changing anything though.
