How do I pay Final Value Fee and Shipping Fee out of the payment Buyer made?

I recently sold an item and the buyer received it.   I received the bulk of the payment in my paypal account minus tax and paypal fee.

The bulk of the buyer's payment went straight to Paypal without the FVF and Shipping label being deducted from the payment. Now the FVF is waiting to be "invoiced". Why don't they just take it out of the payment?

All these things are difficult to find amongst the vast array of menus and hidden categories

- How do I pay for the FVF and Shipping label? If I do it from my paypal account will I be charged a fee? I want the transaction to be all kept on the same payment medium. Ebay sure makes this whole process aggravating.

Your FVF can be paid from your Overview, Account Summary... lower left. Click blue 'Make a Payment'.

There's no PayPal fee to pay eBay's FVFs.

Your fees are due once a month not after each transaction. In your selling setting you can choose which way for Ebay to automatically take the payment when it is due. Just choose paypal as your payment method.

Wasn't the shipping label paid from your paypal account when you created it?

Inconclusive. We don't really know what method the OP used to create a postage label. OP, did you use ebay or paypal to make the postage?

Is paypal only keeping the 30 cents during covid-19?  They had been keeping all their fees.

mtgraves7984Your FVF can be paid from your Overview, Account Summary... lower left. Click blue 'Make a Payment'.  There's no PayPal fee to pay eBay's FVFs.

There is no blue 'Make a Payment' button appearing under Account Summary.

No it wasn't.   I chose the purchase label from ebay option.   It is just sitting under Activity Tab>Selling>Shipping labels with no apparent way to pay it.

This is under "Payment methods for Seller Fees" on the Account Tab correct? Ok I have paypal selected.  There won't be any further fees from Paypal for paying from that will there?  Why doesn't it come automatically out of he purchase as a fully integrated transaction?

Re: How do I pay Final Value Fee and Shipping Fee out of the payment Buyer made?

eBay (selling platform) and Paypal (payment processor) are separate companies and they both charge fees for the service they provide. eBay is going to managed payments later this year and then all fees will reside on eBay.

What I do is pay my eBay fees every transaction. Everytime I make a sale, I pay eBay the amount from my Paypal balance before transferring money to my bank account. I print my shipping labels from Paypal, using my Paypal balance to pay the shipping charges.

Yes that is what I want to do.  I'm leaving the balance in my paypal account until there appears a way to pay the fees from it.  Ah, was that my mistake?  I printed my shipping label from Ebay after purchasing it from them however there does not appear to be a way to pay for it either.   The customer just received their item yesterday and the item was sold on Thursday shipped on Friday (today is Monday).  Is it possible it is too soon?

eBay will place the fee for the label you generated on your bill. You can pay the eBay selling fees and shipping label from your Paypal balance (Paypal is an option when you pay eBay fees).

I wouldn't void the shipping label because it usually takes 3 weeks to get a refund for it (from eBay or Paypal) because that comes from the shipping carrier.

I'm still stuck on trying to figure out how to pay the Ebay fee and the Shipping label fee that I purchased and printed from Ebay immediately from my paypal account.  Is it too soon?  Do I need to wait for the invoice?  Why is there even an option to void the label if I already used it and the item has been shipped?  Is it more economical the purchase/print the label from paypal instead of from Ebay or is it the same label/same price?

eBay cannot deducts fees from the PayPal payments because eBay does not process PayPal payments.

Not only that, but eBay does not even know your Final Value Fee until the month has closed, your seller status has been calculated, and discounts applied.

My option setting with ebay labels is to pay with paypal.

Instant payment charged to the paypal account.

If you want to change it so your default is to use paypal, select the "Add or update payment method" from this link.

Go from your Overview Tab... not by selecting 'Summary' from the drop-down on your Home Page.

From the Home Page, you can  select 'Selling' (from the drop down)… then choose Overview and look to your lower left.

Re: How do I pay Final Value Fee and Shipping Fee out of the payment Buyer made?

If you have it set up for shipping labels to be paid with your Paypal funds they will be taken out immediately if you are printing a USPS label. I believe that the same is true for a UPS label but perhaps someone else can confirm that. If you printed a Fedex label that will be billed on your ebay invoice once Fedex has processed the package.
