Paypal and ebay fee's question for my balance.

So I am still pretty new into selling started in AUG19. When I go into my paypal account for shipping it shows deductions for shipping from my bank account and when I go into my bank account it also shows the deductions.

AM I being charged double for my shipping or is paypal just showing that the payment was made with my bankaccount to pay for the shipping cost?

Also I am trying to fully understand the fee's to understand my net profit.

I have sold $13,500 in the last 90 days and when I look at my paypal transfers I have transferred $7,000 into my bank account and have about $3,000 left in paypal. So this equates to $10,000. The ebay fees are sent monthly and billed to my card so they are not taking out anywhere automatically at least thats what i believe. So then where is the $3,500?

I understand paypal is around 2.9percent but even if I round it to 3 thats only $300. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you sold $13500 or collected? Things to count. Shipping charges....in paypal go to transaction---sent---and search word =shipping. You will have to add those up.

Then paypal fees. 2.9% of 13500 is $391. This doesnt count any 4% fees for international buyers. It also doesnt count $.35 per transaction. Tons of small transaction that fee adds up fast.

The other thing and the issue i expect is taxes collected. Paypal is currently counting taxes for ebay in your paypal fee column. My bet is you were counting the taxes collected as sales.

Check all those out. My advise is to pay shipping out of paypal balance and not bank account. Too much to pay attention to.

@the double shipping charge query
No, you should've only been charged once. If you check the transaction details on paypal, it should show your bank account as the funding source for that 'purchase'. (i.e. paypal funneled the money from your bank account to the shipping service so there's a paypal record of that occurring)

Sounds like you need to keep better records though, hard to help you with the exact numbers when we don't have all of the exact numbers...
